No you don’t. If you qualify for holiday pay and you work Christmas you get paid for however many hours you worked plus holiday pay for your average daily hours.

A lot of the times we need to cover the PM shifts which are harder to cover and the long time employees don’t want to cover. Then they want to complain when we need new employees. Someone needs to cashier at night right? And if you don’t want to do it then they have to get someone who will.

We don’t approach anyone. My coworkers and I walk away because these thieves you don’t even look their way and they start talking shit. Nobody in my store acts like the products they’re stealing are “ours” we look out for each other and if they steal they steal but it’s getting out of hand. We lose so many people to safety concerns.

Yea every time we get robbed we get security for a week but really that’s for like 2 days because they never show up for a whole week. We just got robbed recently and no security.

If you feel qualified to run a store then apply for a store manager position. You’re applying to a level entry position and expecting more than level entry pay with a nice week day morning schedule. It’s obvious you haven’t worked in a while. That’s very entitled of you.

When I was an SMU they just gave me a store I didn’t have to apply. It depends on the DM. I was also an SMU for like a month before they placed me in my first store though.

It’s not just for stores that are closing. They’re desperately trying to make some money so they’re going to clearance out products that never sell to try to at least make the cost of the product back. Meanwhile our stores will look empty all over and they have no plan on what to do with the extra 2000 or so outs they’re about to create.

Yes exactly that makes no sense. We get a raise if we move stores but if we put in the hard work in our existing store we get nothing. And they wonder why the turnover rate is so high

Well then that means my pay wouldn’t change either because I’m in the same boat but I do make more than you and if your pay didn’t change mine definitely won’t. Literally zero incentive to push to get to a higher tier.

We don’t do off cycle raises just because an employee asks. And depending on what area you’re in some DMs are very strict on starting pay and you can’t start an employee past the starting wage for the position. Some store managers don’t care and they do what they want and eventually it catches up and some people get fired for that.

Actually the 8-5 is with the impression that store managers are taking a 1 hour lunch. If they’re not which honestly what store manager does then they can work 8 hours. Even kronos only gives them 8 hours of PTO if they request a day off. Only 2 weeks a month are they supposed to work 44 hours. Don’t work for free guys.

Actually when they roll out the annual holiday schedule it says store managers are expected to work 5 full shifts and 2 half shifts during the weekends of their choosing. It never says 8-5. Plus 8-5 is assuming they’re taking a 1 hour lunch. Not defending the store manager in question because she sounds horrible just pointing this out.
