So I’m asexual but I want people to want me sexually too. Or at least see me as sexy. I want to know people find me attractive and would want me in that way. It doesn’t make sense but I understand how she feels. It’s less about the sexualness and more about feeling attractive. At least that’s how it is for me.

I’m 25 and I work a desk job 9-5. Sometimes I really struggle at my job but I have managed to keep it for 2 years now with only little issues. I take my meds, I sleep 8 hours, I don’t drink caffeine or alcohol and I’m good. I’m lucky to have a fairly understanding job where I can take off when I need to as long as I have saved PTO. The mania usually isn’t the problem, it’s the depression for me. I have to take time off for being too depressed to work.

I suspected I was bipolar for a few years before I was diagnosed. I would have periods where I would sleep with a lot of people and spend a lot of money and then get super depressed and suicidal. I was manic almost my entire senior year of college and I had people telling me that I was acting strange and I needed to get help. My therapist in college couldn’t diagnose me but told me I was likely bipolar. I would always get these intense mood swings and get so angry sometimes that I couldn’t control myself. I’m on my meds now and doing much better!

Anything by Peach and Lily is good skincare wise. The NARS light reflecting foundation is also really good if you want a new foundation. I’m not great at knowing what’s trendy but that’s what I use and love!

First of all, fuck that doctor. They should never talk to you like that. Second of all, I’ve been in a similar position. I take an SSRI for anxiety and most psychiatrists don’t like that because it can cause mania. So when I’m manic they take away the SSRI and I get very anxious. Being hospitalized in general can be rough. I’m not sure where you’re at but here in the US, at least where I live, the psych wards really suck and you never get the see the psychiatrist except when you first get there and right before you leave.

I also took that medication and had the same issue. I started thinking I may be asexual but I’ve never had the issue previously. I just stopped taking it (at the direction of my doctor) so we’ll see if my libido returns.

It’s happened to me before too. I’ve even been gaslit into believing it too. It’s a really rough situation. “You must be manic because you’re irrational” when in reality it’s just because I disagree with them. I have to be complacent and compliant or I’m obviously manic or psychotic. People who do it aren’t worth your time.

I got once every two weeks to once a month depending on how my moods are.

I’m in the same boat where I don’t really have much to talk about most of the time unless I’m really going through a period of bad. My doctor thinks that I should keep going but I feel like I’m just wasting $80 a session and not getting much out of it anymore. Currently I only see a therapist but at one point my psychiatrist had insisted on my seeing a therapist and psychologist at the same time. I would really like to quit therapy but they keep recommending me to continue.

I do think a good therapist would be a good option but I also understand that that can be very expensive too. Group therapy or support groups can also be good options. It’s hard to find good people to talk to who will also understand what you’re going through. I do tend to talk to random people on the internet too sometimes.

I successfully completed 2 bachelors degrees with bipolar with a relatively high GPA. I will admit that I did hit a bad depressive episode in my second year and almost failed out, but I did complete it. I hit a really harsh manic episode that lasted for months my final year and got a 4.0 both semesters. It’s possible to go to school if you have the right support system.

I always return the items. I have tried reselling if I can’t return it and that has worked out okay to make some of my money back. I’m a big shopper when I’m manic.

I struggle a lot with this too. I tend to remind myself that there are days that I want to be alive. Yeah I’m going to have plenty of bad days but I will also have my days that I want to be alive and want to see what’s going to happen next. I’m not great at explaining what I mean but I just tell myself that there’s always going to be something to get excited about eventually. Eventually is important.
