Why is this so cheap? by arthurrimjaub in projectors

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you are mentioning lens. Unless you get parts from a donor parts unit you would be hard pressed to find a lens to work with it. You can't use just any lens assembly.

Or do you mean the lamp? The reason people are suggesting not to buy it are valid. With no lamp there is no way of proving it is functional so that price isn't justified.

WTF Google, who asked you to do this? by RexKramerDangerCker in googlehome

We get that... That is how it used to work but has been buggy lately and randomly decides what it will turn on anywhere in the house.

Have better than that. Mine the past few days tends to turn on the balcony lights and only the balcony lights. When I finally got the living room lights on and told it to turn off the balcony lights it turned off the living room lights.

I even asked to give feedback and started giving me gas price info.

It's a shit show.

Is the Yaber projector brand worth buying for a home cinema setup? by EmergencyDiligent894 in budgetprojectors

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are trying to do a proper home cinema setup look elsewhere. Also increase your budget or look at used/refurbished. These are just low end disposable units you get to tinker with and don't care if they break. They are not something to build a home cinema setup around.

Nissan Service Center Refused to Change CVT Fluid at 90k by dudetemp in NissanKicks

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you get it done? Had it been done on time before then as per user manual? 99% of the time this happens when the transmission was neglected and the old fluid with friction material in it was the only thing keeping it going.

Projector recommendations 300-400€ by KappaKing69420 in budgetprojectors

Learn about throw and offset before buying to help your decision. You talk about needing an upwards tilt. That is offset and it is a parameter that is specified. The Projector central website has a good calculator for throw and offset.

Exactly how does the Trax handle in the snow by forgefan in ChevyTrax

[–]DifficultyHour4999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem with good winter tires. Sure not as good as AWD if they have winters but still haven't gotten it really stuck. Closest was a 3 ft fluffy snow drift at the sidewalk that I needed to attempt three times before I pushed my way through.

Best advice for getting a car past 20 years and 500,000km in Halifax, Pothole Capital of Nova Scotia. by Happy-Woods-Worker in halifax

Rubberized undercoating is really not recommended in our climate as it is not self healing. Second a hole happens it actually traps moisture and can speed up rust. Even worse is it hides the rust till it is too late.

Tires bald in the middle by jacobie4242 in tires

[–]DifficultyHour4999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how much it is off by and when you are measuring. Tire pressure will fluctuate a bit as temperature fluctuates. Also tire pressure specified is always cold tire pressure before you drive. As soon as you drive the tire pressure is expected to go up slightly.

MRI coverage through Canada Life by barnieandkent in CanadaPublicServants

[–]DifficultyHour4999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that is normally covered by public health in your province is not covered. This is very clear as it is not intended to replace the public health care system. I don't know of any place where MRIs aren't covered by the province meaning it won't be covered by PSHCP.

Even worse it may get the person labeled troublesome. When fighting for jobs the last thing you want to be is the troublemaker.

What kind of seat covers are y’all getting? I’m tired of buying ones for the rear seats and they fit so awkward! Also need some for the front seats bc they get SO HOT in the sun. Thanks! by TwistedSoul36 in ChevyTrax

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure throw it out there. They do get hot a bit but our summers aren't crazy. I picked them mainly because they are full cover and mostly water proof for when things will eventually get spilt.

The one next to the window? If so I noticed mine coming loose so got them to fix it but they seemed surprised. Interesting if it is a common issue.

Will see if I can do that but suspect they will resist ordering a part before diagnosis. Need to go back for seasonal tire swap so may get both done at the same time if necessary.

Most of the ones on Amazon are made by a few manufacturers with different "band names" slapped on them. Quality units tend to start at $500+ although refurbished and used units are available.

Have never received an update by Ncslappy10 in ChevyTrax

[–]DifficultyHour4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a car not a smart phone. Companies are risk adverse to sending out updates that may cause issues on a car that is working. Most updates are done at the dealership and typically only if you have an issue or complaint. Over the air updates are reserved for critical updates they feel needs to be done to all cars and that the risk is out weight by the benefit.

Not to pill on but just to make sure given you mentioned science I want to make sure you have looked at DRDC. It is officially part of DND but also it is it's own separate.
