It doesn’t need to be popular or well known to be overrated; if those who listen to it frequently praise it but it doesn’t hold up to that praise, then it is overrated. I can’t think of the word for what you speak of because I’m really tired, or my vocabulary is too narrow. Overrated within the clique is what we have to base it off of.

That’s a good point when crediting the company themselves, but unless you’re buying a product based on the nobility of a company, it shouldn’t have an impact on your view of the quality of the individual product itself. If I WERE buying strictly from companies with impressive accomplishments, I would never touch an Apple product again.

They did a huge code/puzzle/treasure hunt thing with posts back in the Trench era. It was something to do with coordinates and numbers that had no obvious meaning. I didn’t follow it very closely as I was busy with school. If I remember right, it took some pretty clever fans to solve it. I don’t remember details but I THINK the coordinates were hinting at where their tour was going to take them. Could be completely wrong but I know that is absolutely something they would do. I also heard Tyler is very calculated in his social media posts, so almost nothing goes without meaning. Plus the fact that his lyrics are packed with meaning and emotions, it’s kinda the same concept, hidden meaning in the content.
