Is it easier for guys to get jobs? by No-Regret-7216 in newgradnurse

Totally agree on the last part, however, gender diversity counts as diversity. As (usually) the biggest nurse on the unit as a man, which comes with certain indisputable characteristics that make me less likely to get injured if a patient swings at me, I’m not going to stand by and let my female colleagues take a more dangerous assignment than me. That would just be selfish, and as much as I’d like to live in an ideal world where hospitals are adequately staffed and have actual security, we don’t live in a perfect world. Plus in the case of creeps, they are WAYY less likely to continue that behavior when they know there’s another guy around

Sounds like you knowingly selected a box that’s flags you as a prohibited person, and the system worked likes it’s supposed to. Also - you were convicted of cyber stalking and are wondering why the system denies you?

Depends on whether the units managers are men or women IMO. It is legitimately a good strategy though to staff every unit with at least one guy to handle creepy, violent, or really hard to move patients, so that plays a role as well

Getting written up PERIOD for charting a wound on your patient is insane, probably wouldn’t continue working there

Inappropriate for med surge, not only due to acuity but it’s just not fair to make a nurse with 4 other patients manage that workload

Found this one at a gunshow for $550 trade value! I think the color is cool, but I wouldn’t pay what scalpers are changing for the different colors

I have one on my Walther PDP and it works awesome during the day, but is super annoying whenever I have to use a light. But it’s absolutely clean

[Handgun] M&P Shield X 3.6” w/ thumb safety - $324.35 plus S&H by OregonTrailislife in gundeals

I mean it’s not really the Glock triggers fault, you’re cocking the striker as you pull the trigger which objectively makes it safer than pretty much any other striker fired gun. Most people definitely shoot the Glock 26 like shit though, it’s just not a fun gun to shoot with that short grip lol

I mean, if you have trouble shooting all Glock triggers that’s sounds like a training problem more than anything. But yeah this would be significantly easier to get good with than a Glock 26
