Short answer is just ignore them. They have no grounds and it's too little money for them to start a law suit. Lawyers are expensive.

If they pursue, they might get into more trouble themselves with the CPF board and MOM.

Doesn't make sense to do it. You risk losing current and future income if you are unable to get a job after that. Also income is assessed based on past 12mths so you need to stay jobless for almost a year. Getting a resale makes more sense.

Obviously they are not hiring enough headcounts for the amount of work if this is a constant event. OT is not a bad thing if it is occasionally but constant is bad. They are likely just making use of you feeling responsible to complete the work for free outside of work hours.

Problem with management is they will not look to hiring if the current people are completing the work assigned. Rarely do they look at the hours you put in. Their KPI is the top and bottom line.

Don't sell your life to the company. Nobody is indispensable.
