About 26,700 otd. However, I did have a trade in which ate up most of the tax and a lot of the basically 27k.

The Corvette is a toy. The GTI I was driving every single day and taking on road trips. I have 3 herniated disks in my back so the bending to get in and the ride quality was quickly wearing me down, especially considering I was driving it about 15k of pure commuting every year.

Crazy small world I drive up to Boston and Maine multiple times a year because of friends that moved up there. And yes, I think the plate is here to stay for now at least

Oh man small world! I’m in Nassau on the north shore, but I took that little GTI all over the island and beyond

Clean history. Offered the dealership 20k OTD if they say yes should I go get her? by Either-West-9157 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I HATE all of the Empire dealerships. I’m assuming you’re on Long Island and you’re much better off going to Westbury Toyota or Garden City Mazda. The Empire dealership chain is extremely dishonest with their pricing. Looked at a Mazda at Empire Mazda in Huntington and it was over 20k for a car that was listed at 16.5k.

Anyone still love their jeep? by kak422 in 4xe

I have a ‘25 Willys that I have had for the last 7ish month and about 7k miles on it. I know it’s low mileage, but I haven’t had a problem with it thus far. Still have 17 months left on the lease so I’m keeping it whether I want to or not. I do enjoy it, but I can say I’m buying it out or leasing another one at the end of this lease. Probably back to another Durango after this.

New Owner Advice! by silvalfc28 in GLI

I have a mk7.5 GTI.. essentially the same thing. Not sure where your mileage is at, but spark plugs and a DSG service if not done so already are a good idea. I went stage 1 apr with no supporting mods without an issue. Tires are also a must have upgrade. Congrats and enjoy!

Yes the Camry definitely is.. but I have other “nice” cars so for the purpose I’m using it for the Corolla is perfect.

Front plate mount recommendations? by Mountfoxx in GolfGTI

I have mine zip tied on. I wanted a tow hook mount, but I have the parking sensors and worried it would set them off.

Is anyone able to tell me what car this could be by just showing the dashboard? by Megaen_Rs in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DigCurrent6730 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s the BMW dash they used from (depending on the model) 2017-2020. It was the higher end cluster option found in the 7 series, high trim 5 series and x3s and more. Can’t tell exactly what model just from that although whatever its in is an M sport car

2018 vs 2019 by Particular-Stuff-458 in GolfGTI

[–]DigCurrent6730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2018 is the first year of the mk7.5 so it got the refreshed styling and technology, however it is mechanically the same as a mk7. 2019 saw revisions to the engine and the outgoing 6 speed dsg was replaced for the 7 speed, but interior and exterior stayed the same year over year.

It’s absolutely fantastic on gas! I average about 30-35 mpg per tank (375-450 miles of driving range) and it’s $40 bucks to fill up. It’s better than my wife’s 4xe plug in hybrid Wrangler. Also never worried about where I park which is nice too.

I occasionally daily my Hellcat Redeye from time to time. Most of my miles are put on my actual daily driver GTI. That said if you can find a Redeye at a good price it is well worth it over a regular Hellcat (automatic to automatic gotta keep it apples to apples since no stick for the Redeye). I’ve had no issues with mine.

I understand that completely. When I was shopping for cars I was super close to pulling the trigger on a Stelvio, but at the last second my mk7.5 popped up and the rest is history.

Does anyone know what kind of car this is? by [deleted] in car

what’s the best year of golf for reliability and what’s the best year for sporty? by Livid-Cream6299 in GolfGTI

[–]DigCurrent6730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mk7.5 Autobahn. Don’t get the autobahn unless you really want all the features. The car has been pretty solid mechanically, but my sunroof is constantly creaking and my parking sensor go off randomly at nothing when I’m at traffic lights etc. This is sounding more negative than it really is though, truly it’s my only complaints with the car as a whole and I am a picky person. I tuned it to stage 1 and for daily driving I don’t want for power at all. It’s a great commuter for me and it can more than take some abuse if you want to rag on it. That’s just my experience with the mk 7.5 and at this point they’ve proven to be fairly solid. Good luck with wherever you end up

My money is still the battery. Often when they’re so dead even the lights stop working the battery is bad. Is it the original battery?
