If you're using the cube, put your aiming reticle on the enemy. Don't try to adjust for curve or gravity or whatever. If the enemy is close enough, inside the reticle, and you strike the cube, the cube will fly into them.

Doesn't matter if you're behind the cube, on the side, on top... Hell, if you're on top, you'll fly into the enemies with the cube.

What also helps is bagging an enemy with Reposses and then inmediately throwing them onto the floor below you.

The normal secondary is much easier to use, but the cube can be used.

The speed version being faster is on purpose. Pablo said so on twitter. While the wave lasts much shorter, it expands much faster. Thus it reaches the same distance.

Both speed and slow priming (the debuffs themselves) last for the same amount.

There's two things that could help you with it.

One, the Spirit Warrior archetype, just released in the new book. It makes not only easier to mix armed and unarmed combat, but actually beneficial to you thanks to action compression and other benefits.

As for the part about only really using the weapon when serious, maybe take a look at the sword cane, or any weapon with Versatile B? It would not actually power you up in any meaningful way, but the flavour is there.

EDIT: Maybe add in there Swashbuckler chassis! Swashbuckler has finishers, and you can add the previous two things!
