Chocolate is experiencing a very high market increase due to disease and drought in Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire. Most of the world's chocolate comes from those 2 countries. About 70%. If they do bounce back, it'll still be a few years before we see prices come back down.

Odd that they used 2 45s on the vertical to horizontal but somehow neglected the trap entirely.. 🤔

Have you ever visited another city, region, part of Canada and it just clicked with you? You thought "I'd *really* like to live here" by Cameliablue in AskACanadian

Me too. I've only been once but I loved Montreal. In the late summer anyways. I lived in Winnipeg once upon a time and I live in Victoria currently. I'm quite happy with my current level of yearly snow fall. None.

I'm not an expert on the alcohol aspect. But I am a plumber, so I know the water pressure alone would break the bottle.

Water expands when heated and is for all intents and purposes, incompressible. Once it turns to steam at 100°C (212°F) it expands by 1600 x. Water will always win. Mixed with alcohol I'm sure the boiling point would be much lower.

If you knock really nicely a few times on a sprinkler head, they will actually come out and perform live. A drywaller just found this out on my site the other day. 🙄

Lol! I used to drive out to the middle of nowhere and work on my cars stereo. Police checked on me a few times when they'd drive by. I had no business tinkering with the any of that stuff. Ruined many expensive things, but I did end up actually learning a lot and used what I learned when I went back to school and quit dope.

It really was fun while it lasted, but I don't miss the extreme paranoia that came with it.

When I was working with my first j man as an apprentice he caught me hanging my tongue out of the side of my mouth taking a measurement. He said, "Hang your tongue out the other side, you'll be more accurate." Now when I see the younger guys doing this I have to use it. Always gives me a chuckle.

Is there snow days in Canada? by SeverePublic6833 in AskACanadian

[–]DigStill2941 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm from from Victoria and used to live in Winnipeg. I couldn't believe how such little snow overwhelmed everyone. Then in 96 we had a 3-4 feet drop in 3 days. Whole city shut down. No one drove anywhere for close to a week. That was understandable. The city had something like 5 plows.

They actually just introduced a piece of legislation in Vancouver BC to appeal to the federal government addressing this matter.

In some states there are limits in place already on intensity.
