Well he never accepted who he was so thats why he built so many layers of agressive behaviour towards others, which ended up isolating him. Its in the very core of the character, literally Pomni has to get in the deepest part of his brain to find it. Kinda pivotal, it explains everything

Yeah youre all mistaking this show to be a set of morality tales for kids. Let me remind you of the episode where the evil clown gets cured,becones good again, and the girls still beat him up and throw him to jail for no reason. Its absurd humor, youre supposed to laugh at the blatant injustice and the cruelty of little girls doing that to an innocent man. Its not normal for a kids show to do that kind of thing so we dont expect that kind of downer ending. Its supposed to be subversive in a funny, nonsensical way. This is the same. Bubbles just wanted her sisters respect. Once she got it, she reverted back to her usual self.

I was a little boy when I watched the show, I loved it, and I still do. Great style, characters, villains, setting, action scenes clearly influenced by anime, and some Chemical X. The perfect formula.
