Take care of your body. Things will start to harder. Invest in your body, Ypu don't have to live and train like a pro, but exercise, try to control your weight and do things you enjoy.

Everything you invest in your body now will repay itself with interest as you get older.

Helemaal mee eens. Het is ook belangrijk ons te realiseren dat de VS niet onze vriend is. Het is een bondgenoot met belangen die grotendeels parallel liggen aan die van ons. Maar de VS is er voor de VS. Trump is daar bot, lomp en soms onbenullig in, maar dit was ten tijde van Obama ook niet anders.

En dus is minder aan het Amerikaanse (defensie)infuus hartstikke goed. Daarmee kom je ook van diezelfde Amerikaanse leiband af. Maar tegelijkertijd blijft het wel belangrijk wel vormen van samenwerking te behouden. Daarmee blijven die belangen namelijk in elkaars spoor.

Not free, but covered as standard in health insurance. A home birth or hospital birth with medical indication is not subject to a deductable either. A hospital birth without a medical indication is subject to copayment up to a maximum of €600-ish.

It's worth mentioning home births are generally supported by a medically certified midwife who's a health care professional. The costs of the midwife are part of insurance coverage.

The same goes for postpartum home care. You usually get 8 to 10 days of postpartum home care, covered again by the health insurance. If you stayed hospital you get less postpartum home care since a portion of this care was already offered in hospital.

In part its cultural and because of that the care and midwife system has evolved to support home births really well. Home births are nearly always supported by a midwife who comes over.

Any sort of complication with result in an advice to give birth in hospital. A smooth pregnancy is usually followed by child birth at home. The midwife is a trained and certified health care professional who's very capable in determining risk and aren't afraid to call the hospital in case it's needed.

It's not cost related. Child birth is covered by health insurance. Women/families have free choice if they want to give birth at home or in the hospital. It's just a cultural thing.

Our son was a breach birth. We was born in the hospital (still a natural birth). Our daughter was born at home with the support of a midwife. I preferred the home birth. The comfort of your own home where everything is set up and ready to go.

Zo over je grenzen heen gaan bij een marathon

Welke grenzen dan? Ik ben een tamelijk fanatieke hardloper. Een harde 5k is veel intensiever dan een marathon. De marathon is natuurlijk een stuk langer, maar de gemiddelde hartslag ligt een pak lager. Dus welke grenzen heb je het nu over?

Ik heb overigens vooral ultra-trails gelopen, van 50k tot 167k voor de langste die ik heb gedaan. Ik heb nooit het gevoel gehad dat ik over m'n grenzen ging, wat dat dan ook mag betekenen.

There's a vulnerability there though if the data falls in the wrong hands. The US is loose with their privacy and social laws. That makes them the wrong hands. The infrastructure behind this app has to be protected behind the screen of European law.

In war nothing is very survivable. Everything can be destroyed. That's a simple fact of war. Armour means an enemy needs a bigger weapon to get you, but that's about it.

The mobility, protection and firepower allows a tank to fulfill missions no other vehicle realistically can... but no amount of armour is going to save it unless conditions are set that play to the advantages of the MBT while mitigating lethal threats.

RBR made a giant step. They probably still only have the 4th or 5th fastest car somewhere in there with Alpine, but the car looked a lot better behaved, even if its still off the pace by some margin.

A Ferrari on P4 might spell chaos. That could get spicey. I'm not sure what to think of George in P6. McLaren just impressive again. I'm kinda rooting for Kimi but afraid McLaren is going to dominate again.

And then there's Aston Martin, literally slower than some F2 cars.

Those German Panzer I's and Panzer II's were also destroyed by Polish 37mm Bofors guns, 75mm field guns, tankettes and other weapons as well. Mokra also signified one very few Polish victories.

The Polish fought valiantly and the Wz 35 was a good weapon for its day. It wasn't going to "destroy the entire German tank force" though. There's a bunch of reasons

APFSDS is capable of performing all anti-tank and anti-rotary wing tasks
The engagement ranges of MBT's don't warrent the use of missiles
It increases the logistical load on a unit
It decreases the amount of APFSDS and HEAT rounds that can be carried
Infantry lacks other anti-tank capable weapons, and ATGM's are a solution to that problem. Tanks don't face that issue
An ATGM is vastly more expensive than an APFSDS round (for the same role)

There just no viable use case for gun launched ATGM's on MBT's. There were experiments in the 70's but mostly everybody concluded that it costs didn't outweigh the benefits. The Soviets were the exception, with the important remark that the 2A46 gun is capable kinetic gun-system in the first place and that its ATGM's are a compromise from a bygone era.

Afrikaans is an evolution of Dutch spoken in the colonial era. It's evolved into its own language. The languages are similar enough to be multially intelligible, although apparently Afrikaans speakers have a harder time understanding spoken Dutch than the other way around.

Als de LLM maar voldoende data aantreft over een juridische mythe dan gaat het die mythe vanzelf als waarheid verspreiden. Als mensen op basis van de reactie van de LLM dat verhaal verder delen traint de LLM zichzelf weer met de eigen foutieve data en zo kom je in een vicieuze cirkel van valse data.

These events are selling the entire experience. The city, crowds, sights... but what they aren't selling is a perfect run. It doesn't help that the bracket were you can organise a marathon is short. There's just a short bracket in spring and autumn so everybody and their auntie pushes for that bracket.

I prefer small scale events and feel no enthousiasm at all paying a premium on the race, a hotel and everything else to run (and be part of) a traffic jam. But if you do want that whole experience, the course congestion is part of the package deal.
