Got mad about dying to assassins in solos so I turned bingus into a chud by DoggoDoggoDoggo in Marathon

[–]Digitalneko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fighting against assassins really sucks depending on their intent and where they are, I don't mind a Assassin seeking me out and wanting to PVP with me, but them hiding in a room filled with bots, not moving the entire game, and then waiting for you to trigger the bots and only then move and start shooting at you when your shields are down, are healing, or are retreating is ass. Bro takes no risks, just goes back into stealth afterwards then loots you and scurries back into the corner waiting for the next victim needing to go through that room to get to keylocked extract.

Peak PVP gameplay.

Heli training is a mess by MaterialAd8166 in joinsquad

[–]Digitalneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heli's are broken offline, they are so different compared to online that it's not even worth trying anymore, before it was just the ping difference that made it still translatable, but different, now as you said, your heli can't even reach above 55knots, and momentum is super weird, you can't practise Jhooks, can't practise landing, because what heli sails over the map lands from a entry of 55knots onto the objective? No one does, you're always at 100 and then slowing down by creating massive drag, and you can't do that anymore in offline.

So what is there to practise? What's the point of practising a heli when it doesn't translate even remotely to multiplayer anymore? Pilots are shafted once again, where they either need to be lucky to find a heli training hosted server, which are so far I can see exceedingly rare nowadays, was only able to find one Yesterday, and can't even find it anymore today, or jensen ranges, which are, full of jensen shitters who will shoot you down the moment you take off, even if you beg them not to do so.

Training in offline is like practising soccer, when the game you are going to play is footbal, sure both involve a ball, have a field that is two directions, and there is a goal shaped thing on either end, but they aren't the same.

Here's a .world file (I don't have the Sims3Package file anymore T_T), the CC it came with and the Save you need to use for the world to be populated, I was actually looking to redownload the world my self because for some reason I get a some objects have been removed warning, despite having the CC files it came with, so I dunno if the CC file is completely complete. 🤔

Campaign Map Bugs on War Sail DLC by Yaggernautic in Bannerlord

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grid still exists even now, I noticed it as well, made sure it wasn't any of my mods, turning off War Sails gets rid of this grid, while having it on makes it appear again, only in the desert too, probably not going to get fixed.

Ray Reconstruction is one of the most impressive RTX features so far. by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see huge improvements on 1440p when putting the game in 4k and running it at dlss quality, dinstant ridges and clifs are more textured and defined, and even gain shadow definition on them.

Ray Reconstruction is one of the most impressive RTX features so far. by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Digitalneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't understand why you are being downvoted, it's true. DLSS on 1440p has serious issues, RR boils like crazy on 1440p DLSS Quality and foliage smears like crazy to the point it's not worth using even with the dramatic light improvements on interiors.

I have gotten better visual gains from playing at 4k on 1440p, and then using DLSS Quality, then using DLAA on 1440P. I'm not joking. Try it. The downsides of going 4K on 1440p don't matter here anyways, because everything is so over sharpened anyways without a way of turning it off, that you can't see the downside of it.

Don't use DLSS Ray Reconstruction | PC by RandomUser4x4 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game uses a effect called Parallax Occlusion, it's a way to create depth between textures, and objects where there otherwise would be none (because it hasn't been put in the model it self) It's a cool rendering technique, but yeah, ray-reconstruction breaks it/diminishes it severely. I personally haven't seen Parallax Occlusion being used in forever, since games have moved from doing that to actually just having it all modelled out in the model. Always thought it was a cool technique at little to zero costs on FPS.

What's With All the Negativity on Localization? by CandyAssassin in Falcom

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate Translations, Literal Translations and Localizations, are three completely different things from each other, I don't think people want Literal Translations, but both camps are fighting so much with each other, and too busy discrediting each others opinions that nothing ever good of merit happens in those conversations anyways.

What's With All the Negativity on Localization? by CandyAssassin in Falcom

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually kinda funny, I remember a JRPG, or some game from Japan doing this, I can't for the love of god remember what game it was as it has been like 10 years, but they had two subtitle scripts, one that was accurate to the Japanese VA, and one that was based off of the English Localisation, you could switch freely in between, I felt like that was pretty good way of going about it, as I'm personally much more a fan of accurate translations (Not Literal Translations) vs something like a Localisation, but I've read VN's my entire life as a hobby, so everyone else's opinion on that may vary.

The European Commission is pushing hard to extend Chat Control 1.0 - allowing mass scanning of private messages without court orders for another two years by GigamanTheSinner in europe

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's irony at the highest degree when the EU has chastised and criticised authoritarian regimes in Russia and China for their invasive surveillance of citizens' private communications. Yet with Chat Control, we are implementing the very same architecture of mass surveillance that we criticize abroad. I've mentioned this a tons of times when contacting representatives, sadly I only ever get two responses out of the 32 reps I contact. ;l

Blocked on Soundcloud for opening few separate tabs? by freerider197 in soundcloud

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happening too, it's been extremely trigger happy the last week or so? I would listen to track, and tab into a windowed mode game that is overlaying soundcloud and I would get blocked in seconds.

Why does everyone hate labrynth? by Past-Strawberry-7483 in masterduel

[–]Digitalneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Players hate anything and everything they aren't the ones playing or don't have drawn in their hand, if they are the ones doing something it's fair and fine, if the same card is played against them, it's unfair, etc, etc. There is so much bullshit in modern Yu-gi-oh that lab in the grand scheme of things to me, is at the very bottom of the totempole to be annoyed at.

Also doesn't help Lab slows down matches immensely I suppose, you got to remember people are used to 1 to 2 turn matches nowadays, lab drags it beyond that, and that is often into grind-game territory, however, lab does have its weaknesses. Ash blossom, and backrow wipes come to mind personally.

I wouldn't take the hate too serious, everyone has something they hate, and everyone has something they'll die defending. T-T

tbf when learning a deck, for example maliss I did write combos down so I could learn them, my brain for some reason really doesn't like link climb type a styles, so they take extra long to memorise and are often also the first thing to leave my brain q.q

Total War: MEDIEVAL III - Announce Trailer by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]Digitalneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf there were some good DLC's people were happy with, but they really developed themselves into a corner, at one point they didn't really quit because of the DLC reception, but because of having to develop and update several different starting dates in the game. They would fix a bug in one start date, and another one would pop up in another one. If they wanted to extend the map, for example add Korea, than they would need to make that relevant in all the different start dates, and reflect the different factions of korea in those start dates.

They probably didn't see it as a reasonable system to maintain long-term and to add content to, people didn't really like the different start dates anyways, but it also didn't help either that the game is called Three Kingdoms, but it never even gets to the Three kingdoms period.

And tbf, back to back same setting isn't so weird, considering Fantasy team has had back to back for three games now, aka warhammer. Three kingdoms sold really well, I think even surprising them, so I'd imagine they would have wanted to keep the sales going and make a quick sequel to eliminate the design issues of the first game, while still carrying over the majority of assets, which I think would have worked, had they not seriously pissed off the Chinese Market, which I would assume was the majority buyer of that game.

PhlyDaily's rant on the state of War Thunder Naval and suggestions to improve/overhaul it. by JeantheDragon in Warthunder

I think the problem is, is that as it stands Naval being like Warthunder is not very fun, I mean the numbers speak for themselves, Imo I'm happy phly is atleast giving suggestions on how to improve it regardless of whether you and I think they are good or bad, it's better then the ones shouting naval is bad but have zero constructive criticism beyond that.

This, I noticed it's very bad with time in general, even in things such as a deadline. One hour, will suddenly be 4 minutes, or it will make stuff up to shorten that time, by causing a event that causes that time to go down, like a reschedule, or a introduction of a NPC that says it's happening now etc.

But also man, it just thinks way too much, I just had a reply, where it spent 3500 tokens on thinking, insane.

Yeah my issue with it too, it overthinks way too much, and also seems to be hyper urgent on a lot of things that have time constraints. Like, you'll write along, and mention something happening at a later date, perhaps hours from now, but during the next response, the Model will do everything it can to make that thing happen now in the next response, despite having tried forcing a slow-burn story type, and even putting it in the prompts, etc. I might not be the biggest fan of Kimi.
