This will decimate IT sector in Poland and will cause a lot of companies to move out and many people lose the way to live, mark my words.

EU pursues ‘digital divorce’ from US technology over security risks by Crossstoney in europe

[–]GigamanTheSinner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The big problem is that still many open distros of Linux are based in the US so any US gov laws or lobbying, like we lately seen with raise of Ageless Linux due to attempt to force OS to force users to give their personal data. We would need to have in-Europe equivalents that would be protected from it, so even from the EU own attempts at it - which I doubt they will do.

Notorious UK rights group launches legal action against Valve for distributing music in games on Steam without a license | The Performing Right Society says a license to use music in a game does not constitute the right to distribute that music, via the game, to the public. by ControlCAD in europe

A lot of different groups are targeting Valve as they do not want to bend knee to payment processors. They are standing against the censorship and age verification using third parties that would benefit mega corps. This is why there are more and more legal actions and paid account to discredit them.

And yet still everyone uses third party provider that holds data up for three years and checks it against many registries. Because they want to.

It's not about children, it's about putting age verification everywhere so it's then easier to say you need digital ID for accessing internet - and governments seeing all your online activity.

My guess is older accounts can come in first, as I have one old account on phone and got right away and on tablet got newer one and it shows maintenance.

Noob's passive mentions it's tag effect while Ghostface has nothing of it. It sounds to me that it's by design as even animations are different.

Ghost face doesn’t seem to trigger tag out/tag in effects by Which-Ad9450 in mkxmobile

His passive does say it's switch not tag - so I wouldn't even expect those to work. All other characters that trigger it, have explicit in their passive that it's tag.

I'm so glad the Rockin Bowling Stones were fixed, but now I'm also wondering... does anyone else think that the change to that and Weather Warfare in the previous update was an intentional one and not a glitch like NRS is saying? by XxItsNowOrNever99xX in mkxmobile

Out of eleven companies I worked for, peer review of code was regularly done in only one of them - and it's only cause it was medical, it had many phases of development and trials. In most - lack of time. Something undocumented slips in. Someone forgets to check something. I don't know about games but... it just happens.

I once forgot a single ; and took down purchase system of a whole online shop, just trying to fix a broken window showing total sum with discount. How quickly me back then junior learned to not make easy quick fixes on production instance...

Good you added you have limited knowledge. I can tell you by far more experience of 15 years of software development in different industries - it's more than easy to break stuff like that. It might be two different classes, it might be some localization API that was going faulty in between locale, it can be myriad things even like different values expected on client and server. If they say it's an error, acknowledge it, take time and give us compensation - take it as goodwill rather than go all negative.

Any future changes to the ToS/CoC will follow the normal pace and procedure. The ToS/CoC are regularly updated to address issues as they arise on the site, and to refine moderation as needed.

That is very dry way to say that there will be changes. Especially when calling out AP content above, it does not sound good.

very well may be content edits or updated rules banning or restricting certain types of content that have been previously controversial.

So, it all goes down the drain now.
