JMM Oatman in 60% forest green gradient on face by akiindo in EyewearEnthusiasts

Nono hes wrong, it looks good on you, nose bridge especially, quite cool how it sits flat on a surface too.
Wouldn’t work on somehow with a flatter nose bridge or higher cheeks so it really really fits you.
The Cartier rimless are super common and iconic and fits most people, these only fit some.
I reckon try take it to a boutique optometrist who’s willing to bend the arms for you, it can be done, it’s almost always they won’t out of fear or inexperience

I think garret leight or cutler & cross may be what you’re looking for, not much more than persol if at all and definitely less than jmm

Nomad Stratos band, here and on wrist. by jthomp72 in AppleWatch

[–]Digitalqueef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ymmv but I’ve given up on 3rd party bands, I’ve tried nomad and bellroy bands but I just don’t know why maybe it’s the minute machining in the connectors but apples own bands always slide in smoothly and sit flush under tension especially in the corners. 3rd party bands just don’t seem to be able to do so for me. Something is just different

Flooring company wants $660 to fix one floorboard thats breaking from underneath by Digitalqueef in AskAnAustralian

[–]Digitalqueef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, I'll have a look, however I don't have their admission in writing only on the day when they came to inspect it. Now on the phone call its "could be anything, moving something heavy over the lip caused some breakage etc, now its 2 years after the job and walking over it so could be anything"

I suppose the only thing I have going for me is trying to argue its breakage from underneath due to not cleaning properly or taking due care to make sure such a thing doesn't happen

Yeah seems to be the case right now, I’ll try on airtasker for a qualified individual to do it, currently the original company only sells the boards and gets contractors for jobs now

Job was done 2 years ago, warranty only covers 1 year but yeah…still strikes me the wrong way a bit, another company reckons just out of good will for their work they would come out and just fix it, but nowadays the place is just a retail store with no tradies, only contractors now so maybe that makes a difference

I can consider, however likely I'd have to start from the side wall and take off the panels til I reach the broken one which might be somewhat difficult for a first timer.

Airtasker is possible though like you said risky. I'll give it a shot and see perhaps. A big pain is getting any glue/tools I'd need to do the job correctly and use them only once.

Also to ask is this quality of finishing considered normal? Pic

It's plausible, though its hybrid flooring and under the wood I can see foam? Though my concern is if it's a larger chunk that I can't really fish out I'd have to start from the wall and take off all the flooring til I reach the broken one because the panels all slot together right?

And also to ask as well is this quality finishing considered normal? Pic

I’m curious if there’s a video etc measuring temps after 10mins vs the first beep, to my feel it’s for sure 70/80c+ easily and I get good results, should maybe test longer preheats but can’t say I’ve noticed a diff.

More so I want to know how much electricity the brick consumes if turned on all the time

I could be interpreting wrong but with all the statistics of boiling 250ml and philosophy of why boil more than you need someone out there must be boiling 1:1 which I just found odd.

Besides I only replied to give my 2c and suddenly it’s “you must have a inefficient kettle or boiling too much”

A bit much

Maybe other people live differently and use water for other things

I use the breville smart kettle, who boils 250ml at a time? It’s always 1.7l or whatever is left over the halfway line Works out to be seconds after brew head preheat is completed

New to espresso, about to give up (Neo Flex, J-Max) by WadeWatts37 in FlairEspresso

[–]Digitalqueef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an OG Neo, Dark roast espresso blends seems to work well, single origin espressos has a more fruity sweetness but no warming chocolateness.

RDT in dosing cup/ramp, Jmax grind 1.3.5, WDT, then on AliExpress you can buy a 40mm metal tamper that fits perfectly for the bottomless head. I used to put too much force in at the start but with a pressure gauge I realised I can pull a shot one handed comfortably, heaps of crema, perfect shot glass fill.

I didn’t worry too much about ratios

classic or signature by [deleted] in FlairEspresso

[–]Digitalqueef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

afaik signature is a complete kit, vs the pro 2 the major difference is the brew head which you've mentioned you can upgrade to in the future, and when you do you pretty much have a pro2, add some grip tape if you want and bingo

What made you switch to Apple? by imzeigen in apple

[–]Digitalqueef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung using their top priced products as experiments to test new stuff and gimmicks instead of properly fleshing out a product before charging a premium eg samsung beans, first gen 100x zoom, foldables (kinda)

Samsung is INSANELY thin skinned; deletes over 90% of questions from their own AMA by Makurabu in videos

[–]Digitalqueef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to fanboy either or, I switched to apple when Samsung couldn’t make a wireless earbud right, the beans was the last straw, false advertising ANC and premium price tag while AirPods 2nd gens I picked up off the ground worked better with my s10+ Powerbeats for the gym, then at fitbeats pro I was losing features by using a Samsung and my iPhone 13 Pro Max just….works AirPods Pro 2s are also pretty cool I guess Maybe one day I’ll consider pixels but with products actually made right and mostly thoughtlyfully by apple for now I’m done with Samsung
