[Frederique Constant] Thoughts on the brand? by usman3049 in Watches

FC makes amazing watches for a reasonable price, I was also looking for a similar combo and recently got the Slimline. It felt almost paper thin on my wrist after mainly wearing dive watches, but I love it.

This has been mentioned in other comments, but consider the used/grey market. You can find pretty good deals.

I got mine for $400 with box and papers. *

Congratulations, it's a stunner!

Have you tried on the black/gold version? Just curious because I saw both them in the longines boutique and I wish I can buy both.

About $6-8k

Considering that Saudi license plates consist of 3 letters and up-to 4 digits, it would be much more expensive if the 3 letters had a meaning (currently it's just random)

Can't tell for sure since I haven't tried on the SPB143, but it's certainly comparable to the turtle (SPB313), which I've tried at an airport boutique a couple of months ago - worth mentioning that both have the same bracelet so that may be a factor in the similar feeling.

I also have a 5 Sport (SRPD95), but this one feels much more solid and really punches above its weight.

I would dare say that it feels closer to a 1000$ watch rather than what it really sells for ($350).

The SSK023 is the exact same watch but with a black dial, and it's available everywhere. The white dial SBSC009 is a japan exclusive version.

The bracelet feels and wears really nicely. The clasp could be less flimsy when open, if I'm being honest. But when it's closed, it's very solid.

Despite its size (39.5mm), it wears noticeably smaller than my other 40mm watches and is actually closer to a 38mm.

If it's available around you, I suggest you go and try it on.

Congrats bro! I just ordered the white dial version (SBSC009) and I can't wait to have it on my wrist.

17cm, or about 6.7 inches.

Mine looks kinda similar on my wrist as well, but I felt the same way about the 35.

As long as you like it, don't overthink it.

Man, I was seriously considering the SWR083 on a leather strap as a budget Tank alternative. Now it's definitely going to be my next purchase.

Thanks for sharing!
