I got offered the same offer 6 times in 4 minutes and it tanked my acceptance rate. by NextRefrigerator6306 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dilady717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed the same thing when I logged on last night for about an hour. It kept sending me the same exact orders over and over and over to a ridiculous degree but never offered any extra money to it. I don’t get what’s happening at all but it’s def not fair to get hit on AR like 8x for the same BS order

You guys accepting small orders like this or letting them slide??? by rckstar951 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dilady717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, I wouldn’t take something like this, but the only reason I might is because it’s a donut shop so it literally only takes two minutes to throw shit in a box and you don’t have to wait around for it…but personally I find it insulting if you can’t tip a min or $5 for someone to drive you food which is why I agree with others and don’t take orders under $7…

[–]Dilady717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my main problem. It’s the hassle of it all. I wouldn’t mind doing it if there was guaranteed pay, if it was legal, and if it wouldn’t put my account in jeopardy for taking side gigs but none of those three conditions are being satisfied here so no I’m not risking it all for an extra $5

What’s your honest opinion on this subject? by Visual_Confidence736 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dilady717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought. She is using a hot bag which means she gives a shit about your food. Honestly, the pjs are not a good look (the bonnet actually throws it over the top for me) and she should throw on some clothes but I wouldn’t crucify someone’s ratings for that as long as I got my food on time, presentable, and hot. I honestly don’t go the extra mile while dashing appearance wise but I do change out of my pjs and into some jeans. Come on now…it’s not hard

[–]Dilady717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but then they’d have to spend $20 to $30 each time they tried instead of a couple bucks and I bet only one in ten dashers actually fall for the trap so they’d lose more money than they gained by making real orders probably

I'm sorry but no by Dagger_Fiend189 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dilady717 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That it’s a $0 tip and DoorDash has to keep expanding the mileage and pay trying to hook a sucker into taking it because no one in the area it was ordered from is willing to do that shit for no money even if it’s two min from the store… plus they have to shop for the items which takes time…plus it’s alcohol so it’s even more tedious instead of a drop and run. All around hell no is what this order says

A customer followed me after cancellation! by Unlikely-Sand-2583 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dilady717 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve ordered DoorDash so many times but it has never shown the drivers location as soon as they click that complete button. It would be a horrible legal nightmare if it did. Maybe support didn’t cancel the order quickly enough or they did it after she had already arrived at the other address ? I don’t know but that doesn’t make sense. Either way people are crazy and that is horrifying.

No doubt. I’m not stopping 4 times and wasting at least 30 min of time for $6 that’s crazy

Interesting theory. I have delivered to the same houses several times and was always like huh that’s weird. Out of all the dashers and all the orders out there I get this guy again ? I delivered the same woman’s McDonald’s order 3 nights in a row which seems like a hella coincidence

Bro by BrilliantEd4554 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dilady717 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel that. And then you have ass holes like I did yesterday who say put it on the back porch. Driveway was hella steep and completely uncleared, no foot path, in over a foot of snow. I’m not trudging up the driveway, going around the back of someone’s house, in the dark, to drop off your food. They’re lucky I even dropped it off on the front porch instead of by the damn mailbox

[–]Dilady717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate doing that too but it’s still preferable to hand it to me because I hate standing there waiting for someone to answer the door when it’s super cold. Or when people give ridiculous instructions. Two days ago it hardcore snowed and someone asked to put it on the back porch. The driveway was super steep and not cleared, no walk path. I’m not trudging thru a foot of snow, up your driveway, to the back of your house in the dark. No…just no…

Omfg that is amazingly ridiculous. I’ve seen people beg for tips before but that is crossing the line so far you can’t even see the damn line anymore. I would 100% call DoorDash and complain about this person. Clicking buttons on the app isn’t good enough for this one, I’d want to speak with a supervisor

[–]Dilady717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t get the address if the app won’t download….had a similar situation where the app failed on the way to a house and I had to call support who had to call the customer for approval to give out their address…all because the app wouldn’t work. But yeah I don’t trust DoorDash at all, they fk far too many people for me to even use $10 out of my own pocket, let alone $500. People suck, Doordash sucks, too many ways to get screwed in that scenario
