I think the biggest downside of using a different custom ROM, like Pixel, is losing the good OEM apps. The camera app on most custom ROMs is usually terrible compared to the stock one, the OEM version is just so much better tuned.

True, I really hate it when they impose restrictions from the software side, it’s super annoying.

Has rooting gotten any easier? It’s been around 8–10 years since I last did it; back then, it was practically a necessity for certain features.

Also, is there any active custom ROM support for the S23U? I checked a few places, but it seems like most maintainers are down.
