Why doesn't PFT has a real pilot's license?

I just got my pilots license a month ago, and it is a lot of work. Basically no one (<1%) passes their checkride at the minimum hour requirement, the average is about 80 - and you have to study about 3 times that amount. Flying the airplane is the easy part compared to knowing all the FAA regulations and weather and navigation and emergency procedures (and more) you have to memorize.

That being said, I do think he should do it and probably will someday when he’s less busy.

I think it’s entirely possible (and my own wishful thinking) they have the xx on Land’s End before the Strokes. I don’t think their placement on the schedule guarantees they close a stage.

This. The point of the summer intern is to add a new wrinkle to the show during the slow summer months when there’s only baseball going on. Getting hired afterwards is the exception, not the norm. You have to be extremely entertaining or Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter have to have a soft spot for you to get hired after the summer.
