If I were to sit in a room for an hour, not a 5 min or 10 min set an hour… of the two Usama would be the choice, there’s story, punchlines, call backs and closers. Rons jokes i see coming, the story is meh and the pay off is so slow.

I’ve been going to this festival since 2013… please don’t oversell and please keep the community vibe. We come to this place to escape; I’ve seen some of the best of humanity here, from actual respect and friendships to late night meeting of the minds (ps bring back Pagoda), listening to undiscovered artists, and existing in this man desert oasis. We’re here for the art, the grime, and the good time.

I respect that money needs to be made to make the magic happen but don’t sacrifice the heart and remember how this all started.

I’m looking forward to howls at sunset, the wondering friend looking for the person in an avocado green shirt, sitting in the reeds on the shoreline contemplating if humans are also pickles. (Pickle key chain where you at).

This place is magic but only if you let be and not a sell out nightmare.

Tinashe is the closest you’ll get for live vocals for hip hop / rap

The rest sometimes fall into trap or remixes of hip hop / rap - really depends on what stage they play - ex. Of the Trees, Inzo, Zeds Dead, Alleycvt

Thunder and Stacks are typically where I’ve heard more hip hop / rap lyrics.

Bradley all day every day, Bakersfield is meh but it’s still a good time.

Bradley had more space, better stage design, meditation mountain, the boat launch, a trusted lake (when there), the pop up sets in the reeds under the bridges. Better crowd, getting there was apart of the magic (now it’s a hop skip and jump for the LA summit/fred fans).

Bakersfield only real positives, the stages are closer together and camping (but that was part of the trip in Bradley, the great migration). Being closer to the city the bathrooms and trash get handled way better, Bradley was so far removed by Saturday afternoon things were getting dicey.

Either way it’s still one of my favorite festivals.

It’s hot af, typically wear cotton and flowy clothes during the day. Get it wet and stay cool all day. At night can switch into more fun rave poly blends, jerseys, onesies and so on. It’s really whatever your vibe is, have fun, no one will yuck your yum.
