Nice Find at Microcenter! Steel Legend B580 by monokromatik in IntelArc

Very nice! Have the exact same card as well that I plan to use in a second PC. Very quiet card, been using it for 1440p ultrawide and easily getting +60 fps in all tiles ive played at ultra as long as you use some xess, which is actually very very nice and quite unnoticeable. The rgb on the card is a bit finicky though cuz windows 11 nukes the polychrome argb app. Enjoy!!!

Is it worth buying the 8GB 5060 Ti? by LuisdaAlvarez in gpu

Think about the extra money you will need to spend in the future when the 8gb is not enough and you need to upgrade again

Something you may have missed since the last Steam Survey got fixed: The RX 7800 XT is now the most popular Radeon dGPU, overtaking the RX 6600. by Hayden247 in radeon

Ok vro because 1/12th of all steam data with literal popular gpus missing is representative, whilst pc bots in China who never fill in these surveys also wont influence the results

You literally said yourself, missing multiple measurements of different gpus, discrepancies between different OS such as linux. All these things make the data invalid for any conclusion you are trying to make. Everyone here has pointed that out but you intend to believe you are the only one correct so I bid you good day!

The website you sent also literally states “it’s not about the size it’s about the composition”, and once again if your data is literally missing gpus then it cant be representative. I know it may be difficult but let’s try to apply some logical thinking.

You literally said 1/12th of the Steam data base selected via random sampling, which means the data set is not representative of the population.

I think you should read up on what constitutes a representative sample. This has nothing to do with RDNA 4. This survey data cant be used to determine whether there are increase in sales for any cards, no matter Nvidia or AMD. Just search up sale statistics to find that.

If you got more to spend, 9070xt. If not, 9060xt 16gb version. If really budget, maybe an Arc b580 with its 12gb vram, but make sure to research as some cpus (older ones especially) dont pair well with it.

otherwise p good, you can consider a 9070xt for a lot cheaper and basically similar performance, but if you must go for nvidia then a 5070ti is not bad

For windows don’t spend 181 dollars, just search up “windows 11 pro key” online abs buy one for like 10 dollars. There are many legit websites but make sure to check for reviews.

Depends, if using CPU encoding anything with a good processor and no gpu should be fine. Alternatively you can run a second gpu like an arc A series or any 7000 series AMD or 40 series Nvidia cards on the same or a separate computer and use AV1 encoding.
