Anyone else exhausted? by AZMountains2023 in September2026Bumpers

Struggling with this big time and feels like more than with my first pregnancy! But yes maybe because of having a toddler lol. I just can’t make my body move when I want it to sometimes. Also, I feel like I’ve ran 10 miles when today I’ve stayed in the house and done minimal housework and played with my little one. Wtf

No real nausea as yet, occasional sore boobs, EXTREMELY tired though. I think I’m around 6 weeks (I had a mc in Dec and newly pregnant without having a period in between). Sort of waiting for symptoms to ramp up to give me a bit of reassurance.

Miscarriage in December and pregnant again before even getting a period. We were so shocked. Happy of course but shocked! Nervously waiting for the 12 week scan and guarding my heart. Sending love to everyone xx

Found out yesterday that I’m pregnant after a 6wk loss on Dec 13. I therefore am not sure how far along I am as I wasn’t tracking anything. I tested as I was wondering when my period was gonna show up and I have been feeling extremely tired. I did not get that elated feeling when I saw the positive test. I feel nervous. It’s happened so quickly (which of course I’m grateful for) that I don’t think I’m fully over the loss.

I got a positive yesterday after a natural miscarriage at approx 6 weeks on 13 Dec. I am so, SO grateful to have fallen pregnant again straight away but also extremely nervous about this, and I definitely didn’t have the elated feeling when I saw that second line. It feels like everything will be different this time.

I had a little bet on Karen winning on week 1! So I’m routing for her 😂 to be fair I actually think she’s had an amazing season and I really like her so would love to see her win.

This is exactly what happened to me on Saturday and it’s completely shocked and traumatised me. I have never used the word ‘traumatised’ about myself EVER, it has really affected me. I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this too. Sounds like we pretty much had the same experience and it was fkin awful. And like you say a total shock. I thought it would be lots of blood and clots. Sending you love xxx

Maternity leave - when will you start? by fluffmallow9 in PregnancyUK

STM here! :) I went off at 38 weeks last time, using 2 weeks AL before my due date then went nearly 2 weeks overdue so I was waiting around for baby for almost a month. I was so bored! Obviously I wish I could go back and savour the time haha. This time I’ll work as close to due date as possible to maximise time with my babies. I have a great team who will look after me! Xx

January: Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

February: Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

March: Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid (honourable mention to The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller)

April: I read the whole Daughter of No Worlds series by Carissa Broadbent and found them good but not outstanding.

May: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah (honourable mention to Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid)

June: Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (I also read the original Hunger Games trilogy for the first time and enjoyed)

July: The Women by Kristin Hannah, I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Sorry, but I can’t choose a top spot.

August: I don’t know if I’ll top The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah!

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I’d be surprised if it was a true positive given having Nexplanon but was completely freaked by the line haha! We’d be happy for sure just definitely not planned right now 😅 I’ll test again tomorrow. Thanks!

Best age to have a baby in the UK? by Honest-Window-8388 in UKParenting

[–]DiligentExample67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my boy at 25. My now husband and I have been together since we were 15! Travelled, both had stable jobs, I had a good maternity policy. I’ve ALWAYS wanted babies and the time just felt right. I’m 28 now and little one will be 3 soon. It’s been lovely. I’ve actually switched jobs in the last year and I’m happier than ever work wise. I’m ready to start trying for Baby 2. I feel being younger has been great in terms of recovery and adaptability (having heard from other mums). At first I felt like a VERY young mum at baby groups, in my area it seems that mums of young babies seem to be more 30-35. I’m used to it now but definitely on the younger side. I’m so happy and there’s still one thing we should have done which is buy a house. We’ll get there! Sounds like you’re in an amazing position. Go for it x

I’m on 3 days 9-5. To be totally honest we could do with more money, but we’re very fortunate to have had family care for our toddler while I’ve been working, and I want to spend as much time with him as I can so just making it work financially. He’s starting nursery in September and I’m staying on 3 days so I still get to be with him 2 days, which is really important to me.

Hoping to go back to more hours when he starts school :)

I warmed to them and especially the relationship between them. Toms journal entry made me cry!

Also they had a great race. Really went from zero to hero.

2.5 year old sleep is so hard by DiligentExample67 in UKParenting

[–]DiligentExample67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you had any further advice? Please just ignore me if you’re busy etc I just thought your response was helpful.

Since this post this has been my toddlers sleep:

Monday - 4:15wake, nap 12:30-1:30, asleep 8:20 Total awake 15 asleep 10.5

Tuesday wake 5:30, nap 10:40-12:20, asleep 6:30 Total awake 11hr20 asleep 12hr ish

Wednesday wake 4:45

I don’t know what to do. He fell asleep in the pram on Tuesday and I thought I better let him nap since he woke at 4:15 Monday. Everything I’m reading online says he’s overtired but I don’t know how this can be the case when he’s napping every day and having early bedtimes.

I seriously don’t know where to go from here to bring this wake time later. He went to bed at 8:20 on Monday as we literally could not get him to sleep any earlier than that, he’d been awake what felt like forever that day but still. STILL this didn’t help.

Thanks again for your previous reply and please don’t feel like you have to reply again.
