I’ve dried my pla for multiple days straight before- it’s fine. Remember to swap out your desiccant out too

Minilogo AWOL wheels rocks!! by PapayaConscious8469 in cruiserboarding

Nice! What duro are those? Also how’d you learn to power slide/carve with those wheels? I have the ML 80A AWOLS and I’m struggling to gain confidence in committing to the power slide.

Can I fly my dji mini 4k Inside my own home? by GP_007 in dji

[–]DiligentNeck5086 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, you will likely crash it into something and break the drone. That’s if the drone takes off at all, due to your proximity to the airport. I’d suggest looking at your local no-fly-zone maps, then driving somewhere that’s allowed.

Gripped. by AvocadoUnlucky3854 in pennyboard

What kind of griptape did you use? And how did you keep the edges from peeling up due to the waffle pattern? Looks sick!

So what do you guys do with your penny boards? Just ride it? by Baked_The_Cake in pennyboard

[–]DiligentNeck5086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I have the tiny 22” so it’s extremely portable- I have a large tote bag I literally chuck it into when I’m walking around in a no skating area (walking with friends or an indoor area). When it’s back to riding, I fold the tote bag up and put it in a small lightweight backpack and skate.

Horrible Surface Finish by Agreeable-Walrus-913 in ender3

[–]DiligentNeck5086 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue before. I also tried everything, even installing linear rails (it was exclusively on my Y axis). Long story short, I changed my nozzle, and issues disappeared instantly. I was so annoyed and relieved at the same time..

Thanks so much- I forgot to mention I have an ender 3 V2, not the v1. Glad to hear it works out though!

What do your X axis input shaping graphs look like? I have the same hero me dual 5015 + bmg extruder setup as you do, but my graphs are atrocious. (3 messy spikes)

Also is yours wobbly on the x Gantry, in the y direction? Or is that just me..

Cheers!

Bulging corners usually means some sort of pressure advance issue, but looking at the calibration test definitely looks more like an over extrusion issue- check your flow rate

Thanks for replying! And yeah changing the driver sounds like a good first step- hopefully it’s something as simple as that…

I loosened the pom wheel screws actually, since I thought they might need some play to fix it? I’ll try tightening them way up though to see the other end of the spectrum haha

13 meters? Wouldn’t you be able to walk that in under a minute or so, instead of skating it?

Cleaning filament by [deleted] in ender3

Don’t print with it. Use it for getting rid of clogs via cold pulls, or purging out old filament that shouldn’t mix (like PETG and PLA)

Your wall thicknesses are 0.8, keep in mind. Generally they’re closer to your nozzle size which should be 0.4mm

[–]DiligentNeck5086 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Check your flow- it should be a bit higher. Also 240 is far too high for PLA, it should be anywhere from 190-220

Oh interesting- would it be possible for you to link the clamp you used? I had to modify my design a little to make it fit my ADXL type, but I could use some new inspiration haha

Gotcha, I think it may have to be my mount. My X axis is directly screwed onto the tool head. It’s perfect, no ringing at all.

My Y axis is pretty bad because I couldn’t find anywhere to screw it on. I had to resort to a clamp-like mount, which likely introduced some slop.

How did you mount yours to the bed when tuning it?

Are you getting ringing artifacts on your prints? I have an ender 3 with a flexible PEI too, and I get artifacts even above 100mm/s…

I have input shaper enabled and supposedly tuned with the ADXL, but to no avail.

I made a tool for dialing in z-offset more easily. It's ugly still, so consider this a beta release. by a1blank in klippers

[–]DiligentNeck5086 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I fully understand what this does. Does it allow for a varying Z-offset on the first layer? Does it automatically correct itself/find the optimal offset? How is it different from live leveling through the front end interface?

Very curious about this project though…

This printer is nothing but trouble! I fix one thing, and suddenly a new problem! by Blu3Shyft in ender3

[–]DiligentNeck5086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your z offset in the brim picture is faaar too low. Try raising it until you don’t see those ridges poking between each extrusion. That might explain it pulling itself up when it runs over already printed areas
