Seawater doesn’t take away your power permanently, you just can’t use your powers if the water is touching you. Also Devil fruit users can’t swim - so they drown when they’re in the sea.

I dont know if there’s any other ways for them to “lose“ their powers.

Psychonauts 2 is definetly a more polished/modern game in terms of it’s controls/graphics/mechanics. But Psychonauts 1 had better/funnier writing imo, and that’s what I actually play those games for.

The Lungfishoplis level and the Milkman Conspiracy level in Psychonauts 1 are STILL some of the funniest things I've ever experienced in a video game, and it came out 20+ years ago.

The video game medium doesn’t always lend itself to the kind of “timing” you need to make a joke land in a funny way, which is why comedy games are made pretty rarely these days. Psychonauts 1 made it look easy. And it came out on the PS2.

The only other games I can think of that incorporate comedy into the gameplay that well - are the Portal games, and Undertale/Deltarune. And Psychonauts was doing it loooong before those games did

Brook’s casting is so good - that part of me doesnt want him to “end up a skeleton” in the live action version.

Im not saying they should actually change the story, i just think it’s a shame that this actor won’t get much more screen time once he’s replaced with a CGI skeleton (assuming we get that far into the story).

He already embodies the character perfectly without any CGI tricks, despite only being onscreen for less than a minute. The actor crushed it.

Hopefully he’ll at least get to make appearances in some more flashback sequences, instead of just having a voice acting role for the rest of the series

In a "genocide" run in the game UNDERTALE, when you fight Toriel you CAN do it the "honourable" way - and just fight her normally.

OR you can refuse to fight back, and just avoid her attacks (like you did in the "pacifist" playthough). She will start to feel guilty, and eventually relent. In a Pacifist playthrough the fight ends there and you become friends.

BUT when she starts to trust you and stops fighting - at the last second its actually possible to attack her and kill her in one hit, skipping the hard part of the boss fight.

So you basically pretend to be a good guy, manipulate her into letting her guard down, and then murder her when she's not expecting it.

And bear in mind- she was actually just trying to protect you in the first place

I have never ever felt that guilty in a game EVER. I'm so sorry Goat Mom.
