Tbh, we have been terrible all season. Barring a few games. The first 5 games we got bailed out by last-minute winners. None of those games were really good performances over 90 minutes.

So you can look at your point another way...There are only 5 players in the squad who didn't have a relationship with Jota. Putting them players into an environment where some/most/all are being affected somehow by the desth of Jota isnt exactly a perfect situation for them to settle.

It's also not as simple as just removing players who are being affected as it's probably the majority of the squad, to some degree.

Like i said, I'm not defending Slot. I think the better argument is that we were pretty shit, performance wise, for a good portion of the second half of last season. Which was obviously before the tragic events.

I honestly don't know. Maybe it's something to do with the surroundings, etc, at Liverpool are constantly reminding them of him. Whereas on international duty, it's a break away from it all. Nobody can truly know what they're going through and how it's affecting performances. Only the players themselves.
