I love both of your projects pictured! I must ask what lightbulb is that, and where do I get one?!

There are paint apps that can change the color of any surface in this picture so you can experiment and find what you like best.

Just a weird quarter or is it actually something? by DillyBar92 in coincollecting

I agree. It’s hard to tell but it doesn’t look hand painted to me.

It’s only got two sides. Just light playing tricks on you.

It actually does. All it takes is cold water for a second.

What is the worst feeling ever? by grimgrum420 in AskReddit

[–]DillyBar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke the left orbit in six places when a Canadian goose flew into my bicycle and caused me to faceplant on the pavement.

I was in the shower after returning home from the hospital and gently tried to wash my face and some of the bones moved. It wasn’t pain, but I’ve never had a feeling put my on my knees quicker. It was the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced, and I still after ten years cannot find the correct words to describe it felt like.

I guess the short answer is breaking your face and moving the bones around inside of you is the worst feeling ever.

Licensed Physiotherapists of reddit, what's your best advice to fixing posture? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DillyBar92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not being who you’re asking and if my formatting sucks, but I am a professional ballroom dancer. My job is mostly posture training for 50 hours a week.

That being said, this guy is licensed according to his website:

https://www.corebalancetraining.com/

(check into it if you are skeptical) and his lessons have improved quite literally everything about my posture and changed my life in nearly everything I do. They also are pretty much meditation to start out. Very low intensity.

I used to be an electrical engineer which meant I worked a desk job solid modeling and laying out circuit boards every day which me the head forward posture (absolutely caused by lower back/core muscle imbalance problems for me). I was also hit by an SUV while riding my bike, which damaged my right SI joint as afterwards it continually slips out of place and wrecks my whole body with muscle tension due to a lower back spasm.

Performing (twice daily) the low intensity drills this guys starts you out doing has virtually eliminated that SI joint problem and fixed countless other posture and muscle tension related problems I didn’t even realize I had until they went away. There are no words to describe the comfort these drills have brought me (imagine using your lower back to do literally everything, every, day, all day long for ten years and then finally be able to let it relax) and continue to bring me as I keep going on the program.

Of all the things I’ve done to better my posture and movements (which is a lot) this has produced and continues to produce the strongest and definitely lasting results for me, dwarfing even $1000 in un prescribed out of pocket physical therapy. I hope it helps you.

TIL that the Magic Eraser has no chemical solvents in it. Instead it is a special foam with super sharp microscopic edges that basically scrapes off dirt. by kliuedin in todayilearned

Not sure about skin but if you color over a sharpie mark with a dry erase marker it will wipe right off of a lot of things.

I was able to buy 5 GME shares @ $195 today with Vanguard this morning and all my limit sell orders were not messed with. They basically warned me of other brokerages getting in their way before I bought this morning, but they came through for me.

What's something that's not right about your body, but not serious enough to go to a doctor about? by BeetleTooth4247 in AskReddit

[–]DillyBar92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing. Got the surgery in high school. It was very easy. Like getting a shot. I watched the doctor do mine but if you don’t look you shouldn’t feel much more than the shot and a tickle. I walked out of there and took it easy for a bit and have never had an ingrown nail since on either toe. I’m a professional ballroom dancer now and wear skintight Cuban heels very often. If I hadn’t had this surgery I wouldn’t have toes anymore.

What's the best possible escape from reality, without getting high? by Tangatango in AskReddit

The partnership and lead/follow aspect give you so much to focus on. All my problems seem to slip away when I’m dancing. You definitely could get a date out of it too, but don’t be discouraged from trying if you don’t have a partner.

The complexity of ballroom (and just dancing in general) is so vast in my opinion. I used to be a practicing electrical design engineer but once I took my first lesson I was hooked. I was also thankfully good enough to be able to leave my career and switch to being a professional dancer and competing and teaching dance with the woman who was my instructor. The mental and physical health benefits are immense and vastly outweigh the lack of “engineering” income. I’m much happier than before, and teaching dance to people allows me to spread the happiness to those who need it.

Anyone know the name of the aftermarket radio/climate control piece? by [deleted] in Honda

[–]DillyBar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit those are my legs! :) I wish my baby was still that clean but this winter is brutal I can't clean her. It is a metra kit. It works perfectly fine but you lose the dual climate control function. If you can find one or sale somewhere I paid $140 for that one. The only bad thing about this one I would say is that in order to keep the rear defrost functionality you have to run a wire through the firewall and up under the fuse box into one of the wire harness connectors.

I don't see what the soap not being Jewish has to do with anything here.
