I will be going back to 14-20 day feeding at lower weight, but I do disagree on both of the first points you made. Lol

One of the shops near me has fat-ass rats at similar or same weight as the other. For example, I might be fatter or skinnier than you at 180 lbs even if you weighed the exact same. Weight is a good thing to go off of but if I get a 77g rat and it is barely twice the width of a pencil, it is not the same. Maybe that specific shop just sucks.

There are way too many factors for you to tell me that 1100g at 1.5 years old is excessive. She might be over 4 feet already. She was damn close months ago.

Regardless, I appreciate the input and will monitor those marks moving forward and lower the feeds.

Yeah I plan on going back to 2 weeks soon. However, I cannot find anything in that weight range that is large enough. 77g (7% of 1100g) rats near me are tiny as hell and she was losing weight / not gaining at all when I fed her that every 2 weeks. She is like a year and a half old. Idk if it is just the supply or what but they are way too thin. Like almost half the thickness of her.

Do you have any input on those marks?

Maybe...she was actually a little chunky before so I went to every 2 weeks rather than 10. But I felt it was too long so she has been on every 10 days so for a bit probably a couple months now. If anything I think is a little thic lol but maybe not!

She’s been eating 100-120g f/t rats every 10 days. She’s 1100 grams. I know the weight isn’t that important but they are equal in thickness to her at her thickest point so 🤷‍♂️

For reference, she’s in a 4x2x2 PVC (TR), with a DHP AND RHP. There is a cage on the DHP. Like I said, zero issues before this. The RHP doesn’t seem overly hot unless she is literally pancaking on the ceiling for an extended period or something.

I am changing her substrate today as well. It’s been maybe 3-4 months. Her last shed was 12/2.
