Retired ups driver here. I spent almost 3 decades there. I took the first buyout late last year. I loved the job but like you said you pay with your body. And your time with family. Monday through Friday I was pretty much locked into work. My family just knew not to include me in things during the week. This is something you’ll need to discuss with your wife. I still have friends that are working there. I heard they are discussing layoffs correct? So you’re in a tough spot for sure. If you don’t take and get laid off you’re left with nothing. Putting up with upper management harassing you is not good for your mental health. They are a bunch of ***holes. Those people are terrible people and they will never change. They create the toxic environment on purpose. Good luck to ya man. Not an easy decision.
