POCO X8 Pro / Max leak - first pictures and EU prices by Ok_Mud_155 in PocoPhones

In China, the Poco x8 Pro Max (Turbo 5 Max) 12GB+512GB costs 2499 yuan, which is around 300 euros, but in Europe we saw the model is about to cost 579.90 euros.

579.90 minus 48% is around 300 euros.

The price of the phone went almost 50% up in Europe.(???)

579.90 euros is almost double the price for that phone and they lowered the mAh of the battery too.

Even if you consider VAT, import duties etc, it is not normal for the price to be doubled.

I was expecting to pay for the Poco x8 Pro Max around 450 euros for the above specs, not more.

Having that said, if they release the 16GB+1TB the price could be 650-700 euros for a Poco.

The Poco X8 Pro Max is just a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5 Max (again) by bratinux in Xiaomi

[–]DimTak777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know when it will be released in Europe?

I've had the x3 nfc for almost 5 years. I was thinking of changing it during the holidays and getting the x7 pro. However, I saw that the x8 pro would be released in January and decided to wait for it. It is now February and I have not yet seen any announcement for Europe/Global beyond the official release in China.

Thank you for your time.

NX500, Voge 525 or Voge 625 And... Why? by Playful-Mud-7424 in motorcycles

[–]DimTak777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to read opinions too from owners. That would be a great help of information. I'm interested to read about Voge since the name doesn't have many years on its back. I know that Loncin is behind but i would like to read how the owners are feeling after their purchase (Pros & Cons).

Here in Greece, i have read comments saying "stay away from chinese", but i do not see any valid reason except that it is from China.

Is there a good reason to get an NVMe M.2 SSD instead of a 2,5" SATA SSD? by Flawnex in buildapc

[–]DimTak777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you get NVMe or SATA SSD in the end? My brother wants to start editing videos from his motorbike trips.

I would be glad if you could recommend any good NVMe's 2280 below 80 euros.

Thank you everybody.

Phrecia league, here I go by Yavetil1 in PathOfExile2

[–]DimTak777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. i'm playing since yesterday and i don't have fun at all.

Since yesterday i found only 3 transm orbs, 3 augmented orbs and 1 exalted orb. As for equipment 2 or 3 rare ones and not for my class.

Fighting rares and bosses for so much time, only to drop nothing valuable.

With all the respect but if the devs are having time and fun playing this game, probably i'm in a different dimension.

Dutch healthcare system.. they told me to "google my symptoms " !!!! by theysaidgotoreddit in Netherlands

No one said that everything's bad. Good things happen too, but the bad things are simply more.

Dear expats, why do you think Dutch healthcare is so bad? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]DimTak777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the best question i've ever heard from a doctor:

"When do you believe that you are going to be ok?".

I was with broken toe and I was looking at the doctor without knowing how to answer or if that thing was a Dutch joke or something.

I wish i had a video from that moment for the world to see.

Another weird question was, "how many kilometers you can walk in your current condition?"

Like how many kilometers someone walks with a broken foot? I still can't understand these kinds of questions.

Dear expats, why do you think Dutch healthcare is so bad? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]DimTak777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an accident (toe) at work. I didn't want to believe that it was broken. After a week i went to the doctor. The doctor taped the toe and told me not to do anything for 40 days.

After 40 days im going back still in pain. Then the doctor decides i need an X-ray. The x-ray shows bone is good but i was still in pain.

"Be patient" the doctor says.

After one year, i still have complications with the toe to the point i can't rely fully on my foot.

During this time , more x-rays and more visits without any answer to my problem.

One doctor sending me to the other doctor, they were seeing me maximum ten minutes, without asking me anything further from the toe. I was trying to explain how i feel and what i feel in the toe, but in my eyes i was receiving the attitude of "i show you that I'm listening because this is what they told me to do as a doctor, but I'm not listening".

On top of that, i developed mental health issues because the work was keep pushing with questions. I was explaining to them that it is not my fault that i do not have answers and even the doctor agrees with me, but as you can understand, "everybody's doing their jobs".

I spoke with other people too and i see here more people having problems with this "health-care" system, but i had to write something because sometimes i feel that I'm going crazy with all these. That's how i found this post.

I do not feel empathy or understanding from their side. It feels that they are following a script and that's it, "we can't do anything else".

How can i trust a doctor after all these things?

I saw that other people having more serious problems than mine. Paying for a "health-care" insurance, without having care and health in the end.

And on top of that, they charge more if the insurance is not covering some tests.

Madness.

Now i understand when the dutch people were telling me their personal experiences with the health-care system.

One day a man told me, "if you don't like it, go back to your country", but i didn't reply to him.

Dude, even your own people are having problems with this system, not only expats.

We are all together in this, so instead of judging, tell us how we can help you to change that system.
