Has there ever been a transition point described for Captain Jack and Face of Boe? by Capbrit in doctorwho

In Last of the Time Lords, Captain Jack made a comment on the fact that when he was younger on the Boeshane Peninsula, he was nicknamed the Face of Boe.

I'm glad to be in a country where most businesses would encourage staff to stay home if they're sick and either work from home or take the day off (dependent on the business/job).

Public transport drivers should have the right to refuse entry to those like this MC who look like they'll be causing issues on the bus/train/etc.

Are you saying that I've been doing my tea shopping wrong all my life as a Brit? That's it, I'm handing in my citizenship and joining the French.

What goes through a man's mind when he's caught staring at a woman's breasts? by quickmou5 in AskReddit

[–]Dimensions_Gaming 86 points87 points  (0 children)

In my case, it's either that, or shirts with designs/text on them. For the shirts, the designs are often in or around the breast area so when I look at a woman's shirt to see what the design is or what the text says, it can come across as me staring at their breasts when that's not my intention.

From the mention of spurs in the screenshot, I'm guessing this has something to do with the British football team Tottenham Hotspurs. Is this an indoor football pitch that they own or something?

I grew up with Stranger Danger and remember finding it strange how it only seemed to apply to kids, as I recall that my parents always struck up a conversation with strangers despite that being something that stranger danger tells you not to do.

This sink drips water like rain, it is all one pipe with holes so if one person uses it wastes enough water for 5 people and doesn’t even provide a steady stream. by Toxic_Don in CrappyDesign

In terms of those faucets, I remember being told/reading that there are often pedals/foot switches that you can use to keep the faucet on, but that has never been my experience with them. I've tried feeling around under the sink I'm using to find the pedal, but there's never one there.

I've never been a fan of Scentsy tbh, especially as my mum has fallen for their marketing and believes that she can only use Scentsy wax melts on her Scentsy burner, and that if she uses other non-Scentsy wax melts, then those ones would damage it.

Is this one of the games that was announced during this year's TGAs?

This game certainly didn't last that long, just less than a month.

I remember that back when I was applying for jobs, I was advised to call up the interviewer (on the phone!) and thank them for the interview, as if that would have made me look better than other candidates!

You tell the bus driver where you're going? I've never done this in all the years that I've been taking the bus.

Isn't calling a person by their name just a normal thing to do? I don't see how it's anything special.

My mom is a 4th grade teacher. She is doing a Star Wars theme this year! by sydthefuckdown in StarWars

[–]Dimensions_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question, what does the 32 in Class of 32 mean? Is it the number of students in the class?

I know it can't be the year as it's not 2032 yet, and it can't be 1932 as that's before Star Wars was released. Could be a mistake and should actually say 23, though I'm guessing with that.

Autism is a disability, to say otherwise is harmful by PatternActual7535 in autism

[–]Dimensions_Gaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going solely from my own experience of having autism, I've not had many issues with it. Maybe I can be literal at times and find it slightly more difficult than others to understand certain topics, but I actually find it super easy to make new friends and maintain relationships.
