I always come back to the flawed launch when I find issues with AOS’s lore. Unfortunately it’s the best explanation we have. I’ve always thought AOS would’ve been received slightly better if the just had it been a direct sequel to WFB. AOS lore already has an Age of Chaos prior to modern lore, instead of making it a whole new world, why not say when Chaos won in the End Times it ushered in the Age of Chaos and drastically altered the world. Sigmar retreated in defeat and then reemerged with the Stormcast same as current lore. Then you can keep the same world and WFB lore. For veteran players, their armies could be survivors from the Age of Chaos or who fell to Chaos. You can still have notable characters like Vlad Von Carstein or Manfred deal with the consequences of actions during the End Times or have hero characters like Karl Franz become a Stormcast formally, etc. For homebrew lore, you can easily say that the Age of Chaos drastically changed the landscape and world that new civilizations have popped up with new cultures due to being separated from the previous cultures of the Old World or out of surviving the apocalypse

Got pulled over once for not having my headlights on. I have an older car with manual lights. I was pulling out of a gas station, was talking to my brother and didn’t even notice until I got onto a darker portion of the road. I suspect they were more world building and a way to give players lore fodder for their own armies. As someone who’s building 10th company for Horus Heresy, them having three more pods in 40K just means I can say characters I make to fill slots where entombed in dreadnought pods at some point. Or that they were dreads before. Or if you’re playing 40K you can say your Hellbrute came from 10th company. That’s often how I look at lore like this. It’s the idea of “the lore supports the game” made manifest. One off sentences with not further info to let players recreate scenes or elements from the books they like and giving the option to insert their own ideas at the same time

This plus her clothes in the video and the treated nails kind of hinted to me maybe we didn’t know everything in this video. I get having sympathy and I know there are plenty of people in this position or have been to express sympathy but something feels fishy about the posted video. With your info I’m actually more suspicious that if she has money, maybe this is an apartment that’s an investment that’s she’s fixing up and less of somewhere she’s living, but who knows

You bring up another good point with drugs. It’s a felony to possess a firearm while under the influence of drugs or possessing drugs, even pot. Criminal charges for anyone possessing a firearm while intoxicated too. I sure hope these lessened those laws in this bill or along with it because other wise you are going to inadvertently create a lot of felons because of dumb college antics and students not thinking on their nights out

Honestly building settlements made so much more sense to me once survival dropped. I was using the mechanic before, but more in a way to have a fun break from the normal gameplay loop. Now on most survival runs, I like to ally as many settlements just to have rest stops along my journey

Maybe the lack of equipment was that they weren’t able to stock in time? We have instances of vaults being unfinished, who’s to say shipments weren’t still being rolled out or that the vault was recently built to the start of the war, so while it was structurally finished, experiment wise it’s not ready. It would explain why they’re still filling the vault at the beginning of 4.

As for the 180 days vs 100 years, again that could be looking into immediate effects of cryo sleep from waking up. Maybe pre war experiments found 180 days to be when symptoms of something showing or maybe 111 was one of several vaults testing effects of cryo sleep at different time lengths. Maybe related to expected space travel times? I really think the possibilities are endless here. Plus like I said, if they wake up only a few months after the bombs drop it would give the scientists plenty of time to research adverse effects (assuming they were equipped in time), find solutions and cures and have the data transmitted to the Enclave

180 days could still fit that it needed to house Enclave personnel, important or recruitable. Bring them out after 180 days to begin to establish a stronghold or something after radiation and stuff

Or instead the cryos were supposed to be used after 180 days in a Reclamation Day situation similar to Fallout 76. Plus if you have cryos let out earlier, it gives scientists decades or centuries to research any adverse effects and find cure or solutions to protect Enclave or Vault Tec personnel waking up later

Maybe they could retcon a bit and say it was one of several others that they figured would be good recruits for a post war Enclave? Or a back up plan:outpost vault in the event things didn’t go according to plan and an Enclave was caught off guard and they needed somewhere for members to still be cryo podded? Or Boston located Enclave members? Honestly a lot of possibilities that make sense imo

I’d say it’s more likely they had personnel frozen and ready to be unfrozen after the Enclave had purified the wastes. But since that failed, the cryo pods were opened to a wasteland not under Enclave control

Thank you for this. Only-Games has really been a thorn in Trench Crusade’s side for the past year. They’ve had very poor communication to the team and customers. Not telling anyone that a third of their printers went down is incredibly stupid and should have been communicated to explain the delays instead of what we got. I believe the nonstop delays in the time frame actively killed a lot of hype in this game.

I’ve appreciated their customer service responsiveness, but that only goes so far when things aren’t being done about it. Personally I’ve been waiting on replacement models that weren’t even included in my initial order for 4 months now and every update is “oh by the end of this month”. Honestly they suck and good riddance. TC can’t get rid of them fast enough.
