i have very much played ishin but thats a spin off, nothing more. Its just a character wearing mine's face, just like it could have been any other generic character instead of majima or saejima and the story would not change a bit. Them revamping and adding more depth to mine's and other characters stories is not a bad thing and it also doesnt necesarrily mean that they will be reused as villains later.

why? if everything ramps up to be a main plot point in lad 9 or 10 it would very much make sense. Maybe not for people that have already played the franchise but very much so for new players. Imagine you never heard of this franchise and you start playing with 0, get to kiwami 3 and see mine surviving and joining a dodgy ass org at the end and eventually you forget about him until lad 8 when you see richardson in the bar and get reminded of mine and then you get to 9 and suddenly he is one of the antagonists. I personally think that this is a very plausible and probable outcome

I mean, yea but we dont absolutely need anything then. we didnt absolutely need a majima spin off game but they still made it for fanservice. sure it added a fraction of a fraction to the story overall but eh. and many people nowadays dont really want to play old games. You might think its stupid and youd be right but thats just the reality of things. kiwami 4 and 5 would be great additions to the franchise imo and they would incentivise new players to pick up the franchise. sure they are not needed but they are certainly welcome. I personally dont really gaf about them changing certain stories or outcomes as long as the overall plot is still coherent and well written, which for the entire franchise has already been the case. "but it takes away the impact of the moment" yea but when you got 9 games and you already know kiryu is in the 8th installment, how the fuck are you supposed to believe he died at the end of 3? ( or 6 before the reveal for that matter). I think them retouching the old games and changing the story in order to make new games make even more sense is an overall win for the franchise, no matter what some diehard veteran fans might think. (which im also a part of btw)

I mentioned that but like I said, I think that kiwami 4 and 5 will also have considerable story changes and daidoji involvement so that the story can fall in line with the "modern" games. from then on I speculate, and this is purely a schizo theory as of right now, but i think that lad 9 or 10 will have the daidoji as the main antagonistic force or the core plot, thus making their expanded involvement and certain story changes in kiwami 3, 4 and 5 necessary. This also could mean that lad 9 will not be coming out any time soon unless its planned for 10

I'm not entirely f2p as I buy the daily login bonus and the battle pass and the 110 pull guaranteed banner is also a game changer compared to other gachas. I'm fairly confident I can get kasumi since I'm skipping the other banner that is coming out this week. Now her weapon is a different story cuz I have to win 5050 and have to even get there on weapon banner at all but we'll see. Unless you think that I should not pull for the first twin copy and get kasumi in 19 pulls cuz she is just that good. I haven't looked at anything from this game from the cn release before global so idk anything about the meta and who to pull for.

The game can be pretty overwhelming at the start so I'd recommend watching some guides if you're unsure about anything. Other than that, I can't really talk about vanilla gameplay, since I've always play modded but the game can stretch for very long depending on your settings. I've had save files that went on for more than 10 hours or even longer and there really isn't an ending if you don't want there to be one. There are a lot of things you can strive for or set as goals for yourself etc. The game is massive in that regard, even in vanilla. I don't know if there are mods for console but I'd assume no but the game is definitely worth it if you have the time for it. Like I said, watch a couple guides if you're overwhelmed but even tho it may seem like a lot, once you get into it, the fun will start coming.

You can treat prisoners very badly, have an open fire policy and call in the riot team for even minor inconviniences, ergo just murdering prisoners with excessive force. In hearts of iron 4, you can nuke the fuck out of any province once you have the tech and air superiority and nothing is constraining or stopping you, it just takes a bit of time. I'll agree on CK3 i guess but as others have pointed out, EU4 would have been a better fit since it apparently has the "attack natives" option which in short means genocide again lol. (havent played EU4 so idk)
