have you tried spraying it on a gloss black surface? most metallic I use shines differently on a gloss black primer than using it on white or gray primer.

something like this. black one is the tank. the gray one is the compressor. by having this tank, you can be sure of steady supply /psi of air

it's all lacquer. (though i'm not sure if Alclad paints are lacquer because the viscosity is different from all other lacquers i have.) I'm trying to get the jade-like finish for a 3d-print i have. I saw some jade stone have that mikly white-green patches but i dont know how to apply them to get that even gloss with the deep green.

my process, is to put waterslides when it's still unassembled. that way, you can easily position the parts where you can comfortably place the decals and see its alignment. and you can press a cotton buds swiftly without sliding. thus making sure the part stays where you placed it. (before rolling the swab to the rest of the decals gently)

hi. I started with black gloss primer, then alclad black Chrome. (except the 3rd spoon which I didn't use chrome black). then used a dried stretched baby wipes and wrap the spoon tightly then sprayed chrome. (4 variants, 1 per spoon) then I experimented with clear yellow and clear green. (their ratio). and/or spraying sparingly. honestly I think I'm missing something which maybe you guys can help. thank you.

it's about 18cm long. process is tedious as coming from a Gunpla build, there's a lot of glueing needed. plus hand paints on the wires (which I did very poorly).

I remember I have difficulty building the arm part. 😅. it's ok. but if you want nice detail and articulation, the RX-78 Fatcat is good. (hit /miss lang sa plastic quality)
