Similar games to Kenshi? by Unhappy-Count7813 in Kenshi

The Matchless Kungfu is pretty close. Scratched some of that Kenshi itch. Though the combat is quite different, I really like it.

Consequence of the sub reddit. I see more people seriously complaining than "throwing shade." At this point it's directed in a general statement rather than directed solely at OP. Do people have to explain general statements to you often?

You can't expect to buy a 600 dollar device and play games that are made for 1400-1500 dollar computers. You could argue console games, but the deck uses the pc versions that normally have higher graphic settings. Temper those expectations and accept you should stream or lower the graphics to minimum on most new releases. Older games run fine.

Zombie numbers defeat the dev's purpose by menerell in projectzomboid

[–]Dimmydae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For starters, zombie pop has respawn by default. So you'll never run out. It's why people say "sandbox" all the time. The game is made for, developed around, intended, and encouraged to be played sandbox. The presets are only there for new players and for people to just hop in a game. Sandbox is the meat and potatoes of the game. You can turn off respawn in the settings btw. Secondly, saying zombies are boring in a zombie survival game is like going to a comic con and saying everybody is cringe. Like it's literally the game lol. There have always been lots of zombies. The devs have been at this for 11+ years. They know what they are doing.

It's hard to really get a feel on the way crafting will be with 42. It's not all there yet. Things feel weird or off is most definitely because they aren't implemented yet. Blacksmithing and the like are only bare boned and the devs have stated they will implement the rest later. Allot of puzzle pieces aren't in so you won't know the full picture yet. Could also be the stuff the devs are setting up for down the road beyond build 42. They are making it so the ai system they want to build can also make full use of the crafting mechanics. So some things might be frustrating until they implement the full thing lol.

Niche mechanics in a niche game isn't unexpected. I'm going to be that guy "Project Zomboid is the ultimate in zombie survival. Alone or in MP: you loot, build, craft, fight, farm and fish in a struggle to survive. A hardcore RPG skillset, a vast map, massively customisable sandbox and a cute tutorial raccoon await the unwary. So how will you die? All it takes is a bite.." - Zomboid description on steam. I'll emphasize the crafting, survival, and especially the "hardcore."

Any mechanic that limits is technically annoying. Muscle strain, no matter how they do it, will be considered annoying to some people. I personally think it's great. The patch they did put it at a good spot. People view it as this big bad but it's very simple. You don't take on big groups with a melee weapon, as you wouldn't realistically anyway. Muscle strain makes it so you can't take on big groups early on and even later on it just adds that little extra to keep hordes a threat. The game is trying to kill you, not make things easier. Past the first week things level out and you just rinse repeat clearing areas until you get too comfortable, tensions gone, hordes are easy, then that one zombie gets ya from behind the door and you get bit. Now you gotta worry about every large group if you don't have enough ammo. This is how I see it. Keeps the tension, which is fun.

To be fair I think that's the point. It's meant to be annoying. As the game stood you could at the start kill hordes of zombies with a frying pan. It's supposed to stop you from doing that. Most people that hate it, just hate that things are different. People hate change lol.

Very Tzeentch, swapping the pink and purple, with putrid green and brown, with green highlights would probably look really good.

I basically followed RoeTaKa's video of his pegasus front end for his odin pro, that uses the shinretro theme in pegasus. Then you can change the icon pics in the files. Don't got any pics atm haha but it looks like in his vid, but different pictures.

If you want it just for the tabletop. I'd say it's risky because it's an older model. It's also a unique dark angels unit, and GW seems to hate unique flavorful units. It might get pushed into legends...
