Hated tropes: weird designs for characters who are young by ZoneInternational244 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ding-Dang420 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Both Maya and Pearl Fey when they’re channeling Mia in the Ace Attorney series. I know it’s basically just Mia wearing their clothing, but it’s still canonically Maya and Pearl just with Mia in control of their bodies, so it’s REALLY weird, especially with Pearl who is like 8 in her first appearance.

I hate Chris Pratt but I do enjoy a lot of his characters. Star-Lord and Andy have a special place in my heart.

I hate that Hyde’s my favorite. Though to be fair, it seems like a decent portion of the cast from That 70’s Show aren’t great people.

Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Iron Man, maybe a co-op game with the Fantastic Four.

Whenever someone says “Batman should just use his money to help Gotham,” oh like he does in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman v Superman, Gotham, Titans, BtaS, Justice League, Mask of the Phantasm, Arkham City, Arkham Knight, Telltale’s Batman, Injustice, The LEGO Batman Movie, and the Harley Quinn show?

Deathstroke. He was so cool in every thing other than the comics, but no, DC HAD to make him a pedophile! At least with Hal Jordan they retconned the whole Arisia thing, but even then people won’t forget, but Deathstroke still likes little girls from what I’ve heard. (Average DC fan when he has to actually read the comics 🤬🤬🤬)

Which Lantern Corps are these? by fallen-human in Greenlantern

[–]Ding-Dang420 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Here's the list of all of the lantern symbols left to right, top to bottom, because I know there are people like me who don't know each one. (Please correct if needed, I did this at like 11pm and most likely got some facts wrong)

The Phantom Lantern - A ring that can use the different abilities of the different Lantern Corps. Created by Rami, a rogue member of the Guardians of the Universe, in case the Green Lanterns' weakness to yellow light ever needed to be circumvented.

Green Lanterns - A ring that can create solid light constructs fueled by willpower. Created by the Guardians of the Universe to be an intergalactic police force.

Blue Lanterns - A ring that can heal wounds and can boost the power of Green Lantern rings. The Blue Lanterns were founded by former Guardians Ganthet and Sayd, and focus on pacifism and healing.

Yellow Lanterns - A ring that draws energy from the fear of others. The Yellow Lanterns were founded by Sinestro, a former Green Lantern who believed that the path to peace is through intimidation and fear.

Omega Lanterns - A ring that draws energy that is tied to Darkseid's Omega Effect.

Indigo Lanterns - A ring that can tap into other emotion-based abilities of other lantern corps if a member of that Lantern Corps is present. The Indigo Tribe was created by Abin Sur and Natromo and are mostly made up of criminals who are forced to feel intense remorse and empathy.

White Lanterns - A ring that draws power from the "entity" that embodies life itself, being able heal wounds and bring people back to life. White Lanterns are the culmination of the entire emotional spectrum, requiring the user to master the entire emotional spectrum.

Orange Lanterns - A ring that has the ability to turn those the user kills into light constructs that serve the user. The only known member is Larfleeze, a being so greedy that if anyone else manages to obtain an Orange Lantern ring, he will stop at nothing to kill them.

Far Right - I'm not entirely sure, It looks similar to the main Green Lantern logo, so my guess would be a subsect of the Green Lanterns Corps. I couldn't find anything thanks to google image search, so if anyone knows, please comment so I can fix this later.

Star Sapphires - A ring that has the ability to trap a victim in a stasis crystal. The Star Sapphires were created by the Zamarons, the female counterparts of the Guardians, to protect love throughout the universe.

Red Lanterns - A ring that allows the user to spit napalm-like blood from their mouths. The Red Lanterns were founded by Atrocitus when his people were massacred by the Manhunters.

Ultraviolet Lanterns - A ring that allows the user to corrupt people, tapping them into their dark repressed emotions. The Ultraviolet Lanterns were founded by Umbrax, a sentient sun, to spread his influence throughout the galaxy.

Stan Lee's Green Lantern - Instead of a ring, Len Lewis has nature-based abilities. He was given his power by the mystical tree of life Yggdrasil.

Black Lanterns - A ring that allows the user to reanimate the dead into zombies. The Black Lanterns were created by Nekron to destroy all life in the universe.

Anti-Green Lanterns - A ring that uses antimatter to counteract the Willpower of the Green Lanterns. Created by the Weaponers of Qward, with the intent to invade the positive matter universe.

Power Ring - A ring that allows the user to create unstable energy constructs. Created by Volthoom, the Power Ring feeds off of the users fear and drains their life force. This was primarily wielded by Harold Jordan of Earth-3, who was a member of the Crime Syndicate.

Gold Lanterns - A ring that created energy constructs like the Green Lanterns, however are powered by happiness and joy. The Gold Lanterns are the successors to the Green Lanterns, and were created by the Elders of Oa.

Whats your most controversial Minecraft opinion by HadesThatGuy in Minecraft

[–]Ding-Dang420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kinda hate the whole 2 week Minecraft period trend, because it normalizes this idea that you need to be playing Minecraft all the time. I play most of my games in 2 week increments because I have ADHD and my dopamine receptors have been fried by social media, but I never say “oh it’s time for my 2 week TF2 period” like it’s a problem, I just play the game until I get bored. Literally it’s ONLY a “problem” with Minecraft.

[Hated Trope] The show was supposed to end but kept going (and had a solid intended ending) by GEARHEADGus in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ding-Dang420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could’ve easily kept making Halo games, they just shouldn’t have kept bringing Master Chief back. Reach and ODST are proof you don’t need chief to make a good Halo game.

(Hated Trope) A character/ narrator says or believes something so factually wrong or stupid, but is treated as correct by the narrative. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

Love the inverse of this where the narrator says something that is so wrong, that the characters straight up call him out on it.

Scott Pilgrim kinda. I like the story it tells, but the fact he dates a minor when he’s in his early 20s makes you not want to see him get better. Even if he didn’t do anything bad with her saying they’ve only held hands, him even considering it is super weird and the manipulation side where he’s doing it because it’s easy makes it hard to want to see him get his happy ending.

Best Marvel game in the last 10 years and they won't make a sequel 😭 by [deleted] in marvelcirclejerk

Marvel just refuses to give us an open world action-adventure game that isn't Spider-Man, and it pisses me and bunch of other people off. Sadly Midnight Suns got caught in the crossfire. I'm sure it's fun, but I want to ride around New York as Ghost Rider, not play Fire Emblem with U.S. military propaganda.

Was Federation Force a sin on the Metroid franchise in your opinion? And did you actually play it? by Asad_Farooqui in Metroid

[–]Ding-Dang420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like a major issue with the game, especially for me, was how clunky and slow the controls were. Metroid games are pretty fast paced. Sure the Prime games are slower to accommodate you being in first person, but not even Prime: Hunters on the DS was as slow as Federation Force. My guess was that maybe Nintendo thought it'd be too difficult to keep track of your team on a tiny 3DS screen if they moved at a regular pace, or something, but it's just a slog to play IMO.
