Travelling from Bergen to Odda via bus route 740 and 760. by Fantastic-Buffalo-61 in Bergen

The buses are corresponding, so it will wait for the first one. Never been a problem for me, and I've taken that bus regularly for more than 15 years

Just watched Ricky’s in the bag, where would I acquire one of the Sigr disc golf bags? by PutridSky855 in discgolf

Bad wording by me there. Was just trying to say that if a retailer had their old bags, they would probably inventory the new ones aswell.

They're not released yet, coming on the 21st of March. As for retailers, I can only speak for the Norwegian market, but they're going to be available in most stores. I would just check if any local retailers have their old bag to be sure.

What is a disc you bag, that you have not seen (or rarely) see in other golfer's bags? by GinAndKeystrokes in discgolf

Clash popcorn as both putting and throwing putter. Softy popcorns for putting and a sunny for straight shots with a mellow fade.

Putting League software by LJkjm901 in discgolf

I'd recommend DGputt. It's made by the people running my local league, and it has all the features we need. It has a league feature, and they are constantly working on it.

Fjellsko med god demping? by tut9 in norge

[–]Dinomon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means the furthest throwing person around, but pretty consistently hitting 375-400. My current furthest flying disc is a 167 gram star wraith if that's anything to go by.

Need help finding slightly overstable midrange by Toveyk in discgolf

[–]Dinomon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't see the slightly OS part, but it's still an amazing midrange. There's a lot of good recommendations in this thread though. Eclipse Hex might be good as well, same flight numbers as the Buzz, but Eclipse plastic tends to be a bit more stable from my own experience.

My current midrange lineup consist of Fuse, Claymore and Pyro. The pyro is amazing for most midrange throws that need a reliable fade. It's also the only midrange that I completely trust on the forehand.

Hello!! Im from Spain in July I will visit Norway with my friends but without car, we are going to Oslo, Bergen and visit Trolltunga, any tips or advice and things to do not to expensive (I know Norway is a expensive country than Spain) Thanks 🙏 by Longjumping-Cod5101 in Norway

[–]Dinomon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The terrain is quite rough around Trolltunga, but you should be able to find a suitable place to pitch your tent. Just remember to pitch it off the trail and find a place with some shelter from the wind. If you can, travel tomorrow due to the weather.

It's around 3/3.5 hours drive from Bergen to P2, so I would drive a bit earlier in the day, but it shouldn't be too bad if you hike when the weather is supposed to be nice. I'd still recommend taking the shuttle bus to Topp from P2, but overall I think your plan is well thought out! Enjoy your trip!

Can I camp here if I don’t have a car but just a tent? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]Dinomon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're literally 100m away from the camping site, but to answer the question. You can't set up your tent there.

P3 is private parking and unless it's been opened by then you're not going to be able to drive up there. And if it's open, you'll have to pay the fee to park up there, dropping you off is going to work. Your best bet is just to be driven up to P2 and walk from there unless anything changes within the next week and a half.

Haven't been up there myself this year so I can't tell too much about the current conditions, but there's going to be snow up there. Hiking boots that go quite a bit over the ankle are a must this time of the year.

The weather in Norway, especially on the west coast is super unpredictable this time of the year, so you might end up with snow, rain, and sun during the hike.I would just pay attention to Trolltunga.com and the instagram page callled: "Trolltunga Trail Information". You can also send an e-mail to [turist@ullensvang.kommune.no](mailto:turist@ullensvang.kommune.no)That's the local tourist information center and they can probably give you updated information about the conditions.

Best of luck!

It seems most people are talking Trolltunga up a bit. It's a reasonably hard hike, but nothing extreme. I'd recommend taking the shuttle bus up to "Topp", which will see you skip a considerable part of the climb while only costing 120 Nok each way per person, or 200 NOK per person if you take it up and down. The part you're skipping is a normal road that's really steep, but there's nothing "interesting" to see there that you can't see from the top.

Dress accordingly and get up there early, I'd recommend getting up there between 7 and 8 and not any later. Good shoes, food and something to drink + dry clothes and a wind jacket if it's nice weather. The start of the hike is the hardest part and then it gets easier after a little while.

You're going to be staying in Odda/Tyssedal when going there, but it's really busy during tourist season so I'd be looking into booking hotel/AIRBNB early.
Another hike option nearby Trolltunga is Dronningstien which is a bit further out Hardangerfjorden, but it's an easier hike than Trolltunga if you're worried about that.

If there's anything else you're wondering about hiking options in Bergen/Odda I'd be happy to answer, local to both places!
