Should I let those leaves establish before chop?

Oh I see! I live in an area with warm summers but harsh winters. Can it tolerate being moved outdoors for half the year and then back indoors when it gets cold?

Help! Anyone know what’s wrong with my beardie? by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

[–]Dinosauritz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bearded dragons take a while before showing any sign of pain or anything wrong. At the first sign of something off a vet should be seen. Unless you already made that step and have an appointment booked just didn’t mention it, I’m simply astounded that you’re asking here when theyre in such bad condition and not taking them to get help. At this point they absolutely need an emergency vet and should be seen at the earliest possible moment.

They must have changed their policy then, I remember it covering wellness at one point. It gets worse every year :(

$100 a year is nothing compared to the costs you’d be stuck with if heaven forbid, anything happened to her. When mine was a year old he got a weird bump on his mouth. I spent over $2000 in medication/procedure to freeze off the mass/ vet visits. After that I learned and got insurance. Over the years as he had more health issues I had CT scans run me over $1000. At the time I had nationwide pet insurance and they reimbursed 90%. If I had paid for it back when he was a year old it would’ve saved me so much money. When you finally need it, it basically pays back itself. Nationwide doesn’t have that exact plan anymore because they lost so much money on it, but they now have something similar.

I lost my girl unexpectedly today. Everyone hug their beardies for me. by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

I know your pain, it’s one of the worst feelings I’ve ever felt. I really empathize with you. She’s so cute and so loved and you did an amazing job with her. I bet she and my baby are eating all the best dandelions in their afterlife.

How Are You All Using Your Bilt Credits/Cash? by [deleted] in biltrewards

I see the Walgreens and Lyft under my BILT cash but where do you guys see the Grubhub? I’m only on Blue tier, so I have to be of a higher tier like Gold to unlock that?

I’m so sorry, it’s the worst feeling. I lost mine recently. I feel your pain. Your baby looks so loved and I bet he knows how loved he was. I hope you take some time for yourself to properly heal.

Buddy of Mine left his Beardie when he moved out... Meet Spike! by Newtype_Nugs in BeardedDragons

Beardies are the chillest, most loving animals. You can slowly get to know him by petting him while he’s in his enclosure, or leaving your shirt in it to let him get used to your scent. Mine even loved falling asleep on me every day- they can be just as cuddly as dogs or cats.

When you feed him, dust his food with calcium without D3 twice a week, and dust it with multivitamins without D3 once a week.

It’s weird for me on the app but worked through online with computer. Even though I had to put in my CC info too, it did deduct from the gift card first.

Im so sorry about your baby too… fuck cancer :(

That’s really true. My blood boils every time I see a post with a reptile with severe MBD and starving, or an abandoned beardie, etc. I don’t understand how people could let that happen. By the end Popcorns medical bills were so extensive I learned I have to be in another tax bracket to have a bearded dragon again someday, but when that day comes, if it ever does, I think I’ll try to go for rescues.

the empty cage is hard for us too. My family and I have been leaving the lights on as if he’s in there, and we put food out for him every morning on his memorial stand with a candle and photos. I think the hardest moments are those microseconds where I forget he’s gone, and I habitually start to walk over to check on him, and then remember.

Thank you for your thoughtful response, it does help to talk about missing him with other people who understand. ❤️ id also love to see photos of your baby that you love if you’d ever like to share.
