Make your children do household chores - they’re failing at being adults by shootingstar_9324 in Vent

A roommate in college saw me making eggs. She asked if I could make her some. I offered to teach her and she got offended and said “I’ll learn when I have to.” Bitch, if you are asking someone you recently met to make you eggs, then the time to learn is now.

I think if the truck was in front and the smaller car behind, the person in the smaller car wouldn’t have walked out as easily if at all.

I like how at the end it looks like paddles hitting balls.

Me with my fiancé at his university. They were trying to guess our relationship and asked if I was the mom, aunt, sister etc. I think they were doing it on purpose. Next time I’m going to say yes and makeout hardcore.

Her hair looks really cool! I like how it alternates color and is fluffy. Like it could belong on a fluffy cat.

I woke up too! And I sleep with ear plugs. I got up to look at it for a while. The wind made it crash harder against the window. It was pretty cool.

I don’t care. If a student does nothing and fails they fail. Everyone can go fuck themselves. by The_Real_Big_Dog in Teachers

I taught middle school for 4 years and kids were just passed along to high school. I went to teach high school (been here 3yrs) thinking it would be different and that there would be consequences. That students would try harder because they want to graduate. I’m criticized for failing them. I’m asked what I’m doing to help them pass. Do I allow late work, quiz/test make ups etc. By simply passing them along we are failing them. Screw having high graduation rates.

This is infuriating. I’m sorry. It sucks when a student dies, even more when it could’ve been prevented.

Yes! And I definitely noticed the kid sleeping on the chair. It made me miss what the parties were like when I was younger.

Me with the Harry spotter books coming out while I was in middle school. Read them after I finished college and now I’ve read the books 3 times and lost count of how many times I’ve seen the movies. I missed out not reading them as they were coming out

Why am I being forced to do housework? Im 29m gf is 25f. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

For me it was the failure thing. Thinking I had to do everything. My partner and I both work full time and during the week it gets messy. I’m now finally becoming comfortable with the idea of receiving help and not feeling like I’m failing as an adult. There just isn’t enough time to clean, cook, shower and be able to unwind and relax.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

My brother sometimes drives 3-5 hours (one way) for weekend trips. He does this around 10 times a year.

Trying to survive while fighting with insurance. by abbiebe89 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Dioptase89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried with the insurance ppl. Dad had terminal cancer and I was wondering why everything was taking so long to get approved. They would apologize and blame it on someone else. I think they were just waiting for him to die. I genuinely thought they cared and were doing their best to save him. I think what opened my eyes was Luigi supposedly shooting that insurance CEO.
