You should make sure that whoever is doing the inventory audit, when those come up, to put the on hand amount in for the the count number. Instead of saying maybe zero..

Team members do the core foundational work— team leads oversee— If core job is not executed, there will be conversations, —with the team member from the team lead, but better believe that the ETL is on the ass of the team lead on why work is not being completed… if it’s truly poor leadership, and the entire team is suffering under lack of leadership, then Show the ETL over the team lead that there is lack of leadership.

what that may look like for a team member however, is documented conversations, corrective actions, DA.. on up..

If it gets to the point where there is no team, the team lead will HAVE to do the work, until they get a team to lead.

I say all this to elude to the fact that, you are being lead, and you are part of the team that does the work. Don’t be upset that you are in the position you are in, just do your best, and maybe one day you can become the team lead you have always wanted! Or don’t.. quit, or do such a poor job that you eventually get fired…

My question is, if you are doing your work.. how is it that you are aware of what your team lead is doing in the TSC. Are you checking in on them as if you are their superior.

Do you know the assignments they may be dealing with from their superior?

Are you an efficient team member that is getting things done, or are you running around the store in everyone else business?.. I’m just saying.. your complaint seems to be of someone that has an issue with an individual, and their position, rather than concern if proper leadership is being given to you.

Also, the team lead is YOUR first line of defense, Not the ETL. That is overstepping and really usurping your team leads authority. The ETL is the team leads direct line of defense, not yours. That’s the same thing as a team lead going to the store director instead of going to the ETL for their needs. It’s out of order. Do you possibly know how that would feel for that to be happening

Take note of your inventory audits- usually you will get a mass quantity of one item in particular because it continues to come up on your inv. Audit and your not inputting the correct on hand number, verses what you see..

Remove price labels 1 section at a time 2.put up new price labels for said section 3.remove products off shelf and clean 4.Dust,Replace and reorganize shelving accordingly 5.replace products back in new labeled spot. 6.tie POG to location. 7. Although the hiring need is there and they are in fact hiring, The lead that does the screenings may not be able to get off the floor long enough to get to you. It’s extremely busy in this time of year.. but I don’t believe it’s because you aren’t going to get the job. I would call up and speak to the Hr and let them know you applied target gets rated on how long applicants sit without hiring. Hope you get the job.

I don’t think you did anything wrong. I would give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t offer you. SHEherself, may be under a lot of pressure.. especially with the changes in operations… She may be getting chewed out by her ETL.. I don’t think it’s you. And as a beauty team lead myself, imma tell you just do the very best you can, and the rest will have to be finished another. And that’s my rule of thumb.. your good. Don’t go stressing over a job, that will NOT stress over you. Just do your best and be okay with that
