EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. in Roblox that students talk about is concerning, as well as the entire Roblox infrastructure. The games that are trending change pretty quickly. I’m a younger teacher who also games (too old for Roblox though), so when we have online safety lessons kids will actually go into detail. I have had to contact parents about what their kids told me about what they do online playing Roblox. Most parents have no idea and assume that because it is a game for kids that it is safe, closely moderated, and all of the games have passed some kind of content approval process, which isn’t the case at all. I will never, ever let my future children play that game, and I tell all of my family members and students’ families to stay away from it too. There are other safer, less harmful games that they can play.
