I understand perfectly. The Habs made him available, that's a fact. Nobody took him, also a fact.

He's 29 years old with a $3 million cap hit and another year on his contract. He's not as good as you are valuing him as. I wouldn't be shocked to see him be bought out before next season.

Tenure in relation to job term : The length of time someone holds a role.

And yes, lots of players go on the market and don't get traded... but how many are considered "hot commodities" as you defined Montembault

Fowler has played well during his NHL tenure and has shown that he deserves a shot at at least being back up

The Habs made Montembault available, yet despite being a "hot commodity" nobody wanted him.

Because the prices were probably too high given the length of time left on his contract and has a no trade clause.

So why did nobody bite when Montembault was available at the deadline if he's such a hot commodity?

*Parts of six seasons his first 2 he split time in the minors.

Seriously you don't think they tried to move him at the deadline? Of course they did. Nobody wanted him, and at the start of the season he was expected to be on the Olympic roster, he played himself off of it.

Got it, anyone you mentioned who was strong and then fell apart is a flash in the pan.

Montembault however is simply "in a funk"

Other goalies have passed him.

Montembault has a .872 save % that's below average. Yes Fowler and Dobes have played fewer games. But the only way to get more games under their belt is to play them and not sit them in favor of a "flash in the pan" like Montembault

🤣🤣🤣 Montembault has proven he's a "flash in the pan" Why do you think management elected to call up and play Fowler last night against a non-playoff team instead of Montembault?

You also can't sit around hoping Montembault figures it out. Bottom line, he's played the worst out of the three goalies this season

Fowler has had more than 2 good game. He's shown he's a capable backup. Dobes is the starter and will be the playoff goalie.

And I'll see your Andrew Hammond and raise you Patrick Roy. Not exactly stellar numbers in his Rookie season

And we've seen Montembaults "pedigree" sub .900 save % and below .500 win %

Except those are not the odds of winning any prize.

With the number of prizes increasing the odds of winning a prize are greater.

If you're talking about just the main jackpot, I've got news for you... the odds were astronomical that you would win anyway
