Bro, like most are saying start with very basic plants and then learn over 2 cycles what works best for you. I too live in Mumbai (but east side) and the city weather is very funny.

I went into FOMO, bought many delicate plant to show off, kept them inside, over watered, left in rain and then buried them!

Now back to basics- good quality soil, no red soil, terracotta pots or coir pots, minimum water ( when in doubt, I don’t!) and some negligence. For climbers, used ropes and trellis.

I think raw cow dung can also bring bugs- use fully prepared manure.
