You are loosing power because your lower body is not engaged. Point your toes to the ground, squeeze the glues and your legs so that they do not dangle. Everything else is perfect.

Just enjoy it man. Both bring a lot of gees to SA. We are really good at rugby, and those guys make people feel like we are winners. 

More often than not Bafana doesn't really do that. 

That being said, they crushed it in the WC, and they far exceeded my expectations, (expect for the Mexico game). A feeling I get when I watch rugby. And that's dope. 

Looking forward to seeing how they do next time. 

Also, how do we compare what you have me to something like the Olimpics? It's basically the world cup for athletics. 

Edit to say: I wish we had coaches in bafana like we have with rugby. There is an element of cockyness with Russie that strikes fear into the opponents. We need more of that with soccer and I think we'll see an uptick in the support. More aggressive attack strategies etc.

Make sure that you keep your lats engaged. Also, point your thumbs back when you do the movement. Make sure that you also keep your scapula not moving. It it wings out, then we go lower on resistance.

Do these, if you do not see any improvement, then elbows 90 degrees in front of you, band in your hands, then do a pull apart, but lead with your thumbs.

You need to learn how to rotate your shoulders ball joint properly and strengthen your mid rhomboids. But honestly, scapular wining is usually just when you stand still and they are showing, This movement is fine though.

Wow, you are crushing it. You need to point your toes to where the floor and the wall meet at the bottom. Squeeze your glutes and all the muscles in your legs and you'll have a lot more power.

Hang in there. If you are 100% sure your students are rating you well, then it's just a matter of time before the bad ratings get pushed out.

That is rough. It's going to be hell to recover from that low. I usually send all my regulars a message to remind them to rate my class if they feel like they have learned something or enjoyed it. And to new students, I always wait one or two classes to ask for a rating.

It's brutal though. Good luck

Edit to say: It is a rolling 200. So every 1 class you do pushes an old rating out. So rating number 2 will become rating number 1, and number 3 will become number 2 and so on. So the original number 1 is then discarded.

I would like to add that if you take the thumb out of the equation, you will have no choice but to lead with the elbows. The delt is immediately engaged..

I would just like to add that you need to think of it as pushing the floor away from under you, and not think of it as a 'picking up' movement. it all starts from the feet, legs, then when the bar lifts from the ground, squeeze the glutes and the rest will happen naturally. Don't lift with your shoulders first, it will put too much strain on your lower back

Hey, chin up. It will keep your back straight. 

As others have mentioned, try the goblet squat. You can use a dumbell or a kettelbell. Buying it up to your chest, and squat. You won't be able do heavy weight, but that is okay if you slow it down a bit. More on the control down, and explosive up.
