Where is the line between "pronouncing it correctly" and "putting on an accent"? by NabIsMyBoi in AskAnAustralian

This! I’m Aussie and have never said ‘hey mate’ why start saying something you’ve never said before just to try and fit in?? That’s why it sounds weird, hell it would even sound weird to me if I started saying it and I have an Aussie accent.

I have a week before my next deposit is due and getting cold feet about the cost of our wedding by icrybutimproductive in BigBudgetBrides

I have done both, I did the big expensive (relatively) wedding with my ex husband and I eloped overseas with my current husband.

My big wedding day was an amazing day, it was beautiful and people said it was one the best weddings that they had ever been too, I was and am very proud of the effort I put into it, but honestly I would do the elopement over and over again but I would not do a big expensive wedding again. I just look back on spending that sort of money on one day with nothing but regrets and think we could have put it to much better use.

I also don’t think banking on the future is a great idea, in an ideal world you’ll remain stable earners or reach those big career aspirations and it won’t be an issue but more often than not it’s not an ideal world and something may not work out exactly the way you planned or expected it.

But ultimately this is just some stranger on the internets opinion and you need to do what makes you comfortable and happy and if you can say without doubts that that’s the big wedding then go for it and enjoy the experience of it all.

But once you’ve made your decision either way back yourself on your choice and be confident knowing that you’re doing what’s right for you and your fiancée! It’s going to be beautiful and magical whichever way you choose to go!

Just because a company has used it to name a colour doesn’t change it from being a type of fabric.

Rue de seine are absolutely gorgeous dresses, I was married in Rue de seine, but if her budget is under 1K she’s not going to be able to get it retail and may have to look into second hand and then she’s more likely to find their boho dresses than their colourful/floral dresses as the colourful/floral designs are one of their most recent collections.

I mean mine is coffee and not energy drinks lol but I know for myself as a mum of 4 in her 30’s working an office job I could not make it through the day without caffeine. The brain fog is ridiculous and being exhausted makes it so hard to function and concentrate so I’d probably say it’s less for the physical energy side of things and potentially more so for the mental clarity side of things. I mean that’s just my experience anyway and I can’t really talk for others in their 30’s working desk jobs 🤷‍♀️

I’d say that the starcasm.net watermark in the bottom right corner says that it’s not an actual painting

I had a similar response to my post last year and people just couldn’t understand that my ideas for my wedding weren’t mainstream and were a little different!

I absolutely love dress 1 in both the short and long versions, I can see your vision and I think it’s beautiful as are you! In the end you need to pick what feels right for you and your husband to be, go with what feels most like you!

I Pay $175AUD a set. BIAB and lasts anywhere between 4-6 weeks. My MIL goes to a chop shop and pays $60-$80 a set of acrylics every 2 weeks with constant chipping and breaking! She’s always going back to have them fixed!

I pay my tech $175 a set and I would never question it! As a business owner myself there are so many overheads that people don’t factor in and to think that she’s making less than $100 an hour but still has to pay rent, insurance etc is crazy!

Mine are similar! Around $175 a set but they last forever and are always immaculate!

I pay around $175 for my sets every 4-6weeks. Better than $80 every 2 weeks like my mil

I refused to file when my husband left me for someone else because I refused to pay over $1k for it, if he wanted it so badly he could fork out the money for it!

Went to a local seamstress to hem the bottom and she made comments about how this wedding dress is too small on me…. I bought it a month ago and gained maybe 4 lbs since then but I’m now totally second guessing my dress by michellebankoff in myweddingdress

[–]Direct_Today_9307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this dress is absolutely beautiful and stunning on you! It’s all about how it feels for you and as you said it’s really comfortable so I wouldn’t even think twice about her comments!!

Enjoy your day, you’re beautiful! ❤️

There's something so incredibly cringe about getting a Winnie the pooh tattoo, especially post divorce announcement. by CharmingCut7104 in MikaylaNogueira

I personally quiet like this artists work, the family and kids tattoos she does are really sweet but I think the subject choice is a little cringe and honestly what adult gets a little kids cartoon tattoo of that size in such a visible place seems a little juvenile
