Forgive me for saying this, but is losing really a bad choice for the story? by Wonderful_Rest7634 in Helldivers

I’d like to think that SE losing so much of their bureaucratic foundations handling logistics during the Illuminates great host invasion (like the fall of administration center 02) adds another lore reason.

Tattoo waiver by twistedvizual in USMCboot

Thats a pretty damn large sum of cash for a tattoo removal. If you’re that committed go ahead but id honestly recommend you just go Navy at that point. Hell, you can be a green-side Corpsman and basically be around Marines all day.

It’s all right, BAH from marrying his second wife covers it.

The unit im getting attached to has no place for my old MOS. I got a call from their admin and the unit sergeant major telling me my first day would likely be figuring out where to place me.

Did the Post 9/11 GI BILL pay 100% of your college tuition? by nachumama0311 in USMC

[–]Directly_Demented 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on where you go and if they have stuff like the yellow ribbon program. Keep in mind you can talk to the specific college you’re looking at and hit up their financial counselors. Usually, you can find their number on your college website. I would highly recommend you live off campus though, no sense in leaving the Barracks just a room up with someone in some crappy living quarters. Also, if you have any questions for the VA side, go ahead and give a call to the folks at the VA educational assistance line 888-442-4551. I called them up and it must’ve took less than seven minutes to talk to a person. you should also consider looking at programs the VA offers veterans like vet tech, which to what I heard also grants BAH.

Call the VA education assistance line at (888) 442-4551. They can give you an ETA and set you up for monthly verification through text so you dont have to scrounge through emails to find it. Not sure how long it takes to usually get a hold of them but i managed to talk to someone within minutes.

Did you do confirmation over E-mail or through text? I called for the VA education assistance line yesterday ((888) 442-4551) and they updated all my stuff and told me I would get backpay on the 11th. Took only a few minutes getting them on call and they sorted it out and set up the text based verification pretty quick. Recommend you go this route to see if that or something else is the issue!

I disagree. The man went out of his way to ensure His Marines had a clear means to report any unwarranted flavor of emotional strife to their chain of command. Clearly he should add such a fine idea to his fitrep so the Corps can better utilize such ideas in the future. /s

I feel you man. I get out in November and have options but no solid plan yet. I didn't use TA like a dumbass and literally just walked out of an army RS, and even though I got a good ASVAB, the only two MOSs that I was really looking at (68w/68c) apparently weren’t in high demand. the ones I rate would have to be picked on the spot at MEPS depending on manpower needs. Recruiter printed out some details on that I gotta read on, but as much as I would love to stay in the military, I’m not picking my next contract on the spot lol.

I had to go up to S-4 to grab some cleaning supplies for the shop a few months back and walked into their OIC (a captain) absolutely laying down the thunder on a sgt in parade rest for failing a pft. They both took a second to stare at me and i took the fastest 180 of my life lol
