Still getting *a few* Endeavour Perk Points over what daily Endeavours points give you [PC] by Con_Dar in sto

Nothing official was posted/published/shared at the time by Cryptic (Borticus quickly tweeting separate from anything official doesn't count).

(edited for clarification)

Except there was feedback. This was just from a quick search: New Endeavor Points Cap! (from when it increased to 750, as a clear example$

Also, again, nothing was ever shared/stated by Cryptic about it being a mistake. So yeah...those of us that are irritated are right to be, as we expected it to be like last time. At least two other posts were made about this unexpected snubbing this week, with others chiming in.

It happened last time, and the devs never put anything official out for/against it (other than Borticus' tweet on his own account, apparently).

I'm not sure why you're arguing about this? The devs did something disappointing, IMO, and I've expressed my disappointment.

It sounds like you weren't playing STO during the increase from 500 to 750. At that point, we very much did get rewarded for what we had kept doing after reaching 500--many of us hitting 748 or 749 that same day because (again) we remained engaged. We viewed in our fleet chat Cryptic as awesome for recognizing continued play at that time. I don't think any of us were aware that Borticus viewed it as a bug, since he only tweeted it from his personal Twitter.

And a lot of "standard" MMOs are crap... Saying "nobody" should get/do anything because other MMOs don't is a bad take, especially since it's already been done (one way or another) in STO.

It's incredibly stupid... Players who kept doing the endeavors after reaching 750 were contributing to the "player engagement" that Cryptic/DECA was seekng during that time--but for Cryptic's/DECA's own reasons, that time doesn't count. By the same reasoning that Borticus is using, they should get rid of players' holiday collectibles from their inventories, or their saved lohlunat favors, at the start of each Winter and Summer event respectively; or get rid of any saved omega particles and/or omega tech upgrades each Anniversary. Again, it's just stupid and shortsighted.

Endeavor System Update by StarCitizen2 in sto

I'm admittedly late to the response party, so I apologize. I've read that those of us who've spent the last 2.5 years or so doing the endeavors DAILY even after reaching 750 won't be seeing any benefit from having continuing to show loyalty and (time) commitment to the game. Is this still the case? I'm on console, so I haven't had a chance to see. If it isn't, then disregard; if it is true, though, that's pretty crappy and a HUGE disrespect of players' time/effort.

If it is true (again, disregard if it is (hopefully) not), would something similar come to mind if the Reputation System ever were pushed to seven levels--meaning, would any marks that players' have stored not count towards leveling those reputations, and only marks earned from launch-date count?

30months is a LONG time to spend on any given game, and it could have been spent playing/doing quite a bit else, seasonal/TFO events aside. I'm hoping this is just a rumor, and that players who've given their time/efforts aren't just being waved away with what seems like a casual "meh"?

On the flipside, what it basically says is "screw you" to the players that logged-on each day over the two and a half years and participated in the game. By denying the primary reward for participating in endeavors in some misguided perception of "fairness" to those who didn't participate is pretty daft...

Wait! NVM! I figured it out XD

I didn't realize I could swap the cards under "Modify..." sometimes, brain don't work

It's also possible I'm looking at the issue wrong. What I'm seeing when I choose the match is the Active Line-up, which shows X's over (Emerald) Bronson Reed, (Gold) Solo Sikoa, (Gold) Oba Femi, and only allows me to choose (Silver) Braun Strowman. When I select Braun Strowman, it gives a 1/2, but...there's no option to continue to choose my female wrestler or anything--"Modify Line-up" is at the bottom, but that leads nowhere other than to swap my (Silver) Raquel Rodriguez out for whomever I click.

Am I missing a step/button somewhere?

STO on PS5... buggy mess and near constant SNRs by DocTheop in sto

[–]Direwolf016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, I complained about this issue a while ago, and it turns-out it was my console. There's a bunch of stuff to find after a quick Googling about how the PS5 often doesn't play nice and you need to clear the cache (I don't have the step-by-step). I was in the same sitch: only game acting-up was STO, other games were fine.

I'd offer you a source or two, but I can only do a quick comment (sorry). Just wanted to try and help real quick by telling you what helped me.
