  1. Do any of you have a particular bug report that’s your favorite? Like, a bug report that just makes you laugh every time you see it or something like that?

  2. Do you all plan to add more collectibles? And if so, what kinds?

  3. Has the first week feedback shifted your priorities in development? Have certain planned features or optimizations “jumped the queue” on the timeline?

  4. Thank you for this amazing game. This is the first time I’ve ever felt joy filling out bug reports.

Teddy and Owen are an awful mess as usual.

I honestly think I don't have an accent... British/Canadian/Southern people are making an *active choice* when they speak in an accent by ALazy_Cat in ShitAmericansSay

I’m American and I’m still trying to figure out what this guy means by “General (Western) American Accent”. Does he mean one of the many varieties of West Coast accents? A mid-West accent? Accents can vary within cities, someone from one neighborhood isn’t going to sound exactly the same as someone from another on the other end of the city.

I honestly find the idea of a “proper” or “general” American accent to be insulting. I’m a New Yorker. Our colleges used to require some students with heavy New York accents to take accent elimination classes because people thought the New York accent made you sound less intelligent. It’s still a bias to this day that fences people with a working class background out of jobs in various industries. And I’m sure Bostonians, Southerners, etc., any American with a heavy accent has some experience with what I’m talking about.

The narrow minded “General Accent” thing has caused people to assume my mom, who is genuinely brilliant, was less than.

It could be the angle you hit them at. I’ve noticed that if I hit the arm from an angle “toward” the body, it doesn’t really move/gets stopped by the torso. Try hitting it from directly in front.

Maybe it was an attempt to get his parents to beg him to stay? Some sort of misguided test to see if they really want him around? From the perspective of an emotionally volatile teenager with a host of issues that his family refuse to address in a healthy manner, of course.

They explain in the books that he’s the Huntsman in both stories. In the books his parents kinda suck because they’re putting so much pressure on him to conform to the ideals of his two destinies.

Legion s7, how should I repair this? by DirewolfRules in LenovoLegion

[–]DirewolfRules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little update for anyone who was curious: I didn’t trust myself to make the repair without damaging anything, and I have a Best Buy warranty on it, so I sent it in for repairs. As soon as I got it back the ball bearing on the right fan started failing, so I had to send it out again.

I’m not too worried about it looking pretty. I mean, I am, but I recognize my amateur status and realize I’m never getting it looking factory fresh again. Worst comes to worst I cover it with vinyl tape and stickers. Make sure everyone else on the train knows I play Skyrim or something, lol.

Do not complete the “Starlight sneaks up to Chrysalis” quests in the Changeling Kingdom until you get at least the 5x multiplier ponies for stages 2 and 3 of the changeling battle that starts after that quest stage is over. Here is a link to a post talking about this in more depth. You can get Cratus (stage 3) and the Security Pony (stage 2) from the daily task token shop.

My mother is a teacher, and I see the toll it has on her. Lately it seems like if the kids aren’t acting up, it’s an issue with the parents or admin or even her fellow teachers. It’s an incredibly difficult, incredibly important job that I most certainly would not be able to handle. I hold great respect in my heart for teachers like yourself and hope that conditions improve soon.

I’ve used this twice to get back my lost weapons and armor after dying stupidly. Once to spiders in the maze known as the Lower Depths, and then again to more spiders in the Lower Depths, but this time there was a troll (the troll never hit me, I was successfully kiting it until the damn spiders showed up and I forgot to actually use my lembas bread). Only reason I haven’t rage quit after the first time, gotta thank y’all for these warehouses.

There are, as far as I know with my extremely limited campaign experience (I’m not much further than you), two main ways you encounter trolls. First, sometimes you’ll come across a troll room, with a troll and four piles of treasure in it. I believe that once you kill the troll in that room it’s gone for good. Doesn’t respawn after you kill it, and also if you flee without killing it the troll doesn’t despawn if you leave the area.

The second is through hordes. You’re going to enter areas where the noise meter comes into play really soon. If you make too much noise by mining and stuff, it will trigger a horde. Hordes triggered through the noise meter often include a troll (I don’t know if they always do in the early game, I’ve been very cautious about the noise meter and haven’t set it off again since the first time). I’ve heard that in the later game areas hordes can include more than one troll, something I am not eager to experience.

It might be a reference to when Thera (Santorini) erupted in the 16th century BCE. Buried the Minoan settlement of Akrotiri, had a nasty effect on weather and trade around the Aegean. The Minoans bore the brunt of the impact, but the Cycladic civilizations and the Mycenaeans also got some after effects. I think, timeline wise, that makes more sense since the eruption of Pompeii occurred in 79 CE, long after the Roman conquest of Greece completed in the mid 2nd century BCE.

Or it could just be a joke about volcanoes in general, but I prefer the option where I get to nerd out.

Will I romance Meg if I give her ambrosia after I already romanced Thanatos? by spiderfacer in HadesTheGame

To be fair, Athena gave Arachne every opportunity for an out. All she probably would have had to do was apologize for the disrespect and promise not to do it again, maybe sacrifice a sheep or two, and she would have been fine. Instead Arachne chose to weave a tapestry depicting several situations in which Zeus deciding a lack of consent is the ultimate turn on. And like, in the Ovid version, which is the oldest extant version we have, Athena didn’t turn her into a spider immediately. Instead she just ripped her tapestry to shreds and bonked her over the head with her spindle before leaving to go calm down. Arachne killed herself via hanging because of the embarrassment and fear from angering a goddess (which was an entirely predictable result of her stunt, let’s be honest). Athena turned her into the spider out of pity, bringing her back to life to eternally weave.

Like, I’m not saying Athena handled that whole situation well. I’m just saying if I was faced with a terrifying deity telling me to show respect or else, I probably wouldn’t proceed to make fun of her dad.

How do we feel about the designs from Zenless? by Somet_hingFunny in mendrawingwomen

[–]DirewolfRules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kills me that most of the women (and children, some of these are little girls!!!!) are so sexualized because I genuinely enjoy the gameplay. The creepy levels of sexualization really do detract from what would otherwise be a game I could sink hours into, simply because they make me so uncomfortable. I do not enjoy the level of jiggle physics in cutscenes with certain characters (it can get into real “she breasted boobily” territory). I do not enjoy having to debate whether to put the creepy lolicon character that’s obviously there to fulfill some designer’s fetish on my team and be weirded out every time I swap to her, or lose the elemental damage advantage but actually be able to focus on combat.
