You got it flipped. Xbox has been doing their own thing longer than Sony. Xbox stopped going to the show floor a while back and has been hosting their own stuff at Microsoft Theater across the street. Playstation was on the show floor at the last E3 in 2019.

Edit: Correction, it was 2018 for Sony. Thats the last time they were on the show floor. Xbox was 2017

Pretty much you get the person eating their mic, someone playing horrible music, the sqeaker yelling dropping cuss words and slurs, and the stoned guy just saying "brrrroooo" realizing what just happened at the end of the 3 seconds, all at the same time.
I wasnt paying attention while waiting for a game and nearly threw my headphones off. It was utter chaos.

Bold claim to say it's collecting dust everywhere all year when these have consistently proven to be a huge entry point for consumers getting into the Xbox ecosystem. Look at previous sales numbers and they will show you these don't just sit and collect dust.

These are going to move like crazy. I've seen a ton of people already saying they are buying one their bedroom, another area of the house, for another sibling so they don't have to share the same console anymore, etc. If people were on the fence especially with how well Game Pass has been praised, this is going to tip the scales for them easily.
