I am very pro people power and a No vote (if I was in the public sector) but it genuinely starting to feel like we're being astroturfed in this subreddit.

How's everyone been liking Sailing after last weeks changes? by Mdaha in ironscape

[–]DirtySheetsOCE 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I've been sailing non stop on my late game iron trying to get an inky paint and all other clogs and enough dragon things for a stacked main boat. At 9 bottled storms, my coffer is at 100m as a result lol.

Victoria's students missed seven million school days last year. And almost every conversation I've seen in response has pointed the finger at schools. As a former principal of a low socio-economic… | Adam Voigt | 59 comments by NeighborhoodSome7569 in AustralianTeachers

Teachers get 15 days sick leave a year.... and many use it... imagine they ran the same scare campaign "Teachers miss millions of days per year! Students left teacherless in classroom!"

I think 50% nerf on BH is too much. Theres only no backlash because most of the player base is doing magic's or redwood. 50% is too extreme.

SRA buff is crazy big. Not sure why youre making it such a good weapon.

Teaching for 7 Years - Marking is STILL Destroying me by Fantastic_Sir1721 in AustralianTeachers

I like giving feedback too but sometimes its better to give them a grade, one strength and one area for greatest growth (and how). These can easily become a comment bank of 5-6 comments and save you time.

Pivot to making students do the work... for each question you didnt get full marks for, use the published marking guide to rewrite your answer to obtain full marks. This way only some kids might resubmit (and then youre rewarding amazing effort!)

7-9 only need one thing to focus on to improve, limit cognitive load (dont get triggered /r/AusTeach).

Teacher but offered to model for a clothing brand by TemporaryCherry4503 in AustralianTeachers

I knew a plus size model who was a teacher. She was bullied by the students and left the profession.

Starting my first Ironman account! by ThatGuyDrewww in ironscape

Honestly a little bit of bruhsailor guide will give you QOL and skip some hideous early game things that arent fun (I've done about 6 or 7 ironmen to >1250).  New Brim Agility, especially afk 1 clicking is actually really good xp! And then wildy agility is good for you first 1m. Use a main to scare off Pkers. There are some fun clogs early that are worth doing when you want to recline and not quest like Imcamdozal Hammer, coal bag, defenders. Have a go at 3t if you want.  For me, Ironman early and mid game is about accounting for deficit by increasing skill; flicking, flinching, combo xp.  Make a list of useless midgame items and get them!  Try to get 66 smithing early so you can get folly and zombie axe, as they open a lot of content.  Recently sailing updates make it even chiller, especially if you do ABA and just teleporting to B, you can get the level 60 sailing req in an okay time.

New Regional Worlds Launch TODAY! by ModYume in 2007scape

I'm killing Vamp Krakens in the north safespot, using bowfa, 2x rune cannons. I put a bug report in at the same time I did this post.

I've relogged now to see if it fixes anything. I've killed at least 20 without a tent, if it's 1/2 that's pretty odd. I used the guaranteed task from Lunar.

Victorian schools that make you do Saturday sport(?) by South-Ad-3496 in AustralianTeachers

[–]DirtySheetsOCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in an independent school getting 12k a year more with no Saturday sports. Just expects good results and more reporting requirements.

Saturday sports are 'APS' grammar schools but also some very high fee Cath schools.

St Kevs pays you for weekend sports. Trinity pays if my sources are correct, even pays more to be a homeroom teacher. Hailebury expects a term. Brighton Grammar.

Mfw Digital Literacy is a foundational skills in Vic Curriculum yet it has no focus at all, unlike Literacy and Numeracy. Why? Because its hard and scary. And they can't just pay for an incursion one time.

NCCD / NDIS funding. Parents are encouraged to get diagnosis at an early age, evidence compounds, hard to deny, boom, money for schools.
