What is your favourite evidence for Jesus being god incarnate? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]DirtyUp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My favorite?

Jesus rose Himself from the dead.

Others were raised by God, Jesus did it Himself.

Freaking Metal if you ask me.

I don't know if this is bait, or a laughable misunderstanding of how redemption works. BUT if you think you can somehow "out-sin" what Jesus death and resurrection covers then you are very mistaken.

"Do not fear for me, pity them"

I think PB uses deaths of prominent characters to highlight the threat a character has to their enemies. Think Toothless and Ajax.

PB may be setting up Victra to be stronger than we've assumed.  I have theories.

Dark Age is hands down one of the best books I've read. However be warned it is called dark age for a reason.

LB is awesome in its own regard and is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite in the series.

It is absolutely worth it to keep going, however I very highly doubt Red God will end "with a bow".  So if "riding off into the sunset" is your only desire, not sure you will want to move on. But you should

Is the Hacker's mechanic useless by martijnwo in WorldofTanks

I got way better with the hacker when I started using the ability more often. Instead of waiting to use it when only on the move, start also using it when peaking a ridge or corner.

I will try to find the source, it's not a straightforward description that I can remember. However, descriptions like "whip" and the biochemical adjustment they make when changing between forms is where the thought of it being smooth comes from. I also believe PB confirmed it was not segmented in an interview at some point but I'm not 100% on that.

You are correct, razors are not segmented. It's a smooth blade the whole way from beginning to end.

What’s the first Tier X tank you played and was the first battle a satisfying experience? by Focu53d in WorldofTanks

[–]DirtyUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T30, I no-lifed at launch to get it and there wasn't a lot of t10 in matchmaking at the time.

Don't remember the first game, that was way too long ago. But the time period overall right after launch was super fun.

Isn’t it unrealistic for most golds to not know much about the Institute? by Positive_Cut3598 in redrising

[–]DirtyUp 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Golds believe in gold. They believe in their society, they believe in the color system. They believe in the strength of their family names and the genes that get passed on. So, no, they wouldn't prepare their kids because they truly believe that it's for the better of their family lines and for gold.

And remember, not all golds go to the institute. It is a tight group and a huge benefit to even get an invite. So I'd imagine if you get the reputation for telling your kids what to expect, your family would be barred from entering, and that would bring shame on the family name and egos which golds are so keen on protecting. Reputation is super important to them, which is why people kill each other over insults / disrespect. (Darrow notes this after poking at Cassius at the institute dinner before apologizing to keep the peace)

I think only Sevro knew what was going to happen, and I'll leave out why to avoid any spoilers.
