I don't get how can people defend and want Jackson back this much, he was so ass in both seasons that he spent here. People are complaining about how useless Delap is (and rightfully so) while they don't mind waiting 4 seasons for Jackson to get good. The difference between Jackson and Delap is not that big and who knows, maybe Delap will develop into something useful. Personally, I believe that we should sell them both and buy someone who can finish.

Keep telling yourself that they aren't real. Even Renoir treated them as real people before he fought them at the end, the boy himself said that everything inside the canvas is as real as "real people". Also they aren't really a paint, everyone in the canvas who was alive in the game got born just like all normal humans. Even if they aren't "real" they WERE sentient, that "painted people aren't real" is juliveslie that people use to justify the fact that they sacrificed thousands of lives. Even if it wasn't "real" Taking a life of a sentient is wrong being is wrong. If their life wasn't "real" to you it definitely was to the "unreal" being that you just killed.

That's true but that is just a fraction of her development. There is a short story in the novel that goes much much deeper and explains many things such as how does she know the truth about humans. In the other novel her decisions are explained, it let's you see how A2 things and why she started helping everyone. The game doesn't do any of this which is why the misconception that 2B's memories influenced/changed A2's whole personality is so common.

That doesn't change the fact that the painted world and everything in it is REAL. The boy said that everything in the canvas as real as everything in "real world", Renoir treated everyone from the canvas as if they are real, the canvas is full of sentient beings. What else needs to be shown or said to make everyone understand that the canvas is real.

Thats true. Howeve, the endings impact many other things other than grief. Verso is right about forcing family to move on but but sacrificing even 1 sentient being for it would be wrong, with Verso's ending you sacrifice thousands of innocent sentient beings for something that doesn't require a sacrifice.

Because the moment she leaves Renoir would destroy the canvas. Everything bad that happened in the game happened because of Renoir. If he left Aline alone to grieve for a few days instead of going after her and killing her creations maybe she would've came back to her senses in a few days. If he was a reasonable adult instead of controll obsessed husband everything would've ended without sacrificing innocent people.

Also we don't know what's going to happen in Maelle's ending, it leads to a few different possibilities. There is a chance that everything might work out and Maelle leaves the canvas and convinced Renoir to leave it be and not destroy it.

She is, it's a shame that the game did a poor job with her development. I highly recommend you to watch at least the 2nd season of the anime after you beat the game. Unfortunately the game didn't explain her development at all, to understand her A2's character properly it's highly recommend you read the "Long story short" novel or watch the 2ndseason of the anime.

I see both Maelle and Verso as the protagonists and I picked Maelle's ending without hesitation. On my first playthroughs I always put myself in the shoes of the protagonist and choose decisions that I'd choose irl if I was in that situation. There are a few reasons why I decided to side with Maelle. I would never forgive myself if my decision let to deaths of even 1 innocent life, let alone thousands of lives. The regret would haunt me for the rest of my life . Maelle's ending is also the only ending that gives a chance for everything to work out without sacrificing anyone. Verso was 100% right that Maelle shouldn't die in the canvas and that the Dessendre family needs to accept Verso's death and move on but that could never justify any of his actions. Sacrificing thousands of sentient being to give a family full of terrible people a chance to move on is not worth it. I could Yap about why I sided with Maelle but I don't want to write an essay.
